Full Job Description
Introduction

We are seeking a Software QA Engineer (SDET) to help establish and lead our quality engineering and automated testing infrastructure from the ground up.

This is a foundational role with significant ownership and influence. We are seeking someone who can bring vision, process, and technical expertise to how quality is built into our systems as we continue shipping and scaling complex robotic products in production environments.

In this role, you will work closely with software, embedded, cloud, and hardware engineering teams to ensure new features and releases do not negatively impact existing functionality. You will design scalable testing frameworks, improve release confidence, and build a long-term quality strategy across our connected systems.
What You'll Do
  • Design, build, and maintain automated testing infrastructure and frameworks across software, cloud, and connected hardware systems
  • Develop comprehensive regression testing strategies to ensure new software releases do not break existing functionality
  • Create and execute test plans for backend services, APIs, cloud systems, embedded integrations, and user-facing applications
  • Partner closely with software, embedded, infrastructure, and product teams throughout the development lifecycle
  • Establish QA processes, tooling, and best practices from the ground up
  • Build scalable CI/CD-integrated testing pipelines and quality gates
  • Identify gaps in system reliability, test coverage, and release validation processes
  • Debug, reproduce, and document software and system-level defects across complex environments
  • Help define quality metrics, monitoring standards, and release readiness criteria
  • Advocate for quality engineering practices across the organization
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience in Software QA, Quality Engineering, or SDET roles
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Strong background building automated testing frameworks and infrastructure
  • Experience testing distributed systems, cloud-based applications, APIs, and/or connected hardware products
  • Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing for integrated hardware and software systems
  • Familiarity with regression testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and performance testing methodologies
  • Strong ownership mindset with the initiative to proactively identify quality gaps, improve testing processes, and drive reliability across complex software and hardware systems
  • Experience working cross-functionally with software, infrastructure, and hardware engineering teams

At 10Beauty, we consider a wide-range of factors when determining compensation, based on individual qualifications, skills, and experience. Equity and benefits are included for all full-time employees. If you believe you can contribute to our team, we invite you to apply. We appreciate diversity and welcome those who can bring fresh perspectives and skills to our team.
