The Senior Element Design Engineer is responsible for performing and checking engineering activities to deliver engineered solutions and support Pall factories manufacturing filter elements. This role works closely with manufacturing teams and engineering managers to ensure solutions meet customer requirements, project schedules, and budgets.
This position is part of Pall’s Global Process Engineering group, within the Elements & Housings Engineering team, and is located in Cortland, NY in a full-time, on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to
- Generate and verify designs that meet customer specifications and deliver safe, robust, and manufacturable solutions
- Support troubleshooting and problem-solving activities with manufacturing teams and suppliers on technical issues
- Ensure designs are reliable and easy to manufacture, operate, and maintain
The essential requirements of the job include
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline
- Advanced understanding of design for manual assembly and batch manufacturing, including error-proofing methods
- Autodesk Inventor and or other 3D Package experience.
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes such as welding, machining, forming, molding/casting, and sealing mechanisms
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Fluency in English
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in design of filtration products or equivalent

The annual salary range for this role is $110k to $130k. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay of 10%.
