Full Job Description
Senior Electrification Components Engineer

Diversified Services Network, Inc. (DSN) is seeking a Senior Electrification Components Engineer for an onsite position located in Mossville, IL. This role sits within an engineering team supporting purchased finished electrification components, aftermarket solutions, and production robustness.
Position Overview

As a senior engineer supporting purchased finished electrification components and product health, you will join a team working across a variety of topics related to electrification components, aftermarket solutions, and production robustness. Responsibilities and focus areas may shift to meet business needs, but this role is initially planned to support:
  • Mitigating Assurance of Supply risk for single-sourced electrical machines and components through design and sourcing activities, in collaboration with the purchasing organization
  • Developing dealer solutions for product already in the field
  • Supporting production quality and velocity targets, including rigorous APQP work, deviation management, and resolution of supply issues
  • Providing full component-level support for new projects, from requirements management through supplier selection, validation planning, and issue resolution

This role calls for a leader who can independently own projects - understanding overall project goals, defining tasks, and executing effectively. It requires extensive collaboration with other groups, including purchasing, testing, dealer services, product support, and integration teams. The successful candidate will identify and respond to evolving project and business needs, lead assigned projects rather than simply execute tasks, and will frequently engage in:
  • Understanding, organizing, and prioritizing their own work
  • Collaborating clearly and effectively with adjacent work groups, including status updates and requests for support
  • Attending, presenting, and participating in stakeholder, project collaboration, and team meetings
  • Following standard processes where applicable, including NPI, NTI, and Small Batch
  • Evaluating competing options for cost, quality, and velocity
Team Structure & Work Environment

The core team consists of 10 people, split between the purchased finished (motor) side and the product health side, with regular collaboration across other specialties and locations. Most of the team is based in Mossville, IL, with direct team members located in Mexico and extended collaboration partners in China and India. Regular and effective collaboration takes place both in person and virtually, spanning purchasing, other engineering groups, testing teams, dealer-facing teams, and outside partners such as suppliers and test facilities.

This is a predominantly office-based role (approximately 90%), with occasional visits to factories and suppliers (approximately 10%). Standard PPE, typically safety glasses and shoes, is required for site visits; visitor PPE is often available on-site.
