Job Title: Senior Electrical Estimator Water/Wastewater

Job Summary

  • Manage estimating process of assigned projects from Conceptual Design to 100% Construction Documents.


Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Review design documents
  • Identify design discrepancies and scope gaps
  • Prepare estimates from set-up to completion
  • Utilize Accubid Anywhere software to manage project set up, take-off, and review bid documents for deficiencies
  • Lead, mentor, and collaborate with other estimators
  • Work with vendors/subs and ensuring proper Bill of Materials and Scope
  • Prepare Scope of Work
  • Prepare Pricing Proposals
  • Prepare Value Engineering
  • Prepare and manage trend logs
  • Manage project budget
  • Manage risk
  • Identify constructability issues
  • Work with the operations team to find best solution and identify needed design changes
  • Attend design meetings
  • Communicate with clients/engineers, and implementing measures to maintain client relationships and profitable work

Minimum Qualifications

In addition to holding yourself to high standards and having a passion for being the best, the following are required:
  • Candidate must have five or more years of electrical estimating experience. Project Management experience is also preferred.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills are mandatory.
  • Possess basic understanding of the electrical industry, specifically in Water and Wastewater.
  • Candidate must have entrepreneurial approach to problem solving and the ability to handle a variety of tasks.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills (Must be willing to pick up the phone).
  • Willingness to learn from others.
  • Self-Motivated, organized, detail oriented, and consistent.
  • Desire to learn their project intimately and to become the foremost expert on their project.
  • Accountability of their project and the success of their project.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills in order to work in a diverse, dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Candidate must be willing to travel as needed.
  • Possess computer knowledge that includes MS Office, Accubid, Bluebeam, with the ability to learn new software quickly. Accubid Anywhere experience is also preferred.
  • Enjoy being part of a team, providing leadership, and producing high quality electrical workmanship
  • Be highly curious, self-motivated, and flexible
