Senior Electrical Engineer within WSP's
Property & Buildings M&E Team, you will lead the design and delivery of complex electrical systems for mission-critical and high-performance buildings across the GTA. This role is based in
Thornhill or Downtown Toronto and is ideal for an experienced professional passionate about technical excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
Your Impact- Lead the design and development of power distribution, lighting, grounding, earthing, and lightning protection systems for new and retrofit projects
- Prepare, review, and approve technical reports, drawings, and specifications
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers and designers
- Coordinate with mechanical, structural, architectural, and offshore design teams
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development activities
The Skills That Set You Apart- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of consulting experience in building systems design
- Professional Engineer (PEO) licensed in Ontario
- Minimum 5 years' experience delivering Data Centre or mission-critical projects in Canada (labs, pharma, science facilities considered)
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards
- Proficiency in Revit, ETAP, and lighting design software such as AGI32 or Dialux
- Proven ability to lead electrical design teams on complex, multidisciplinary projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across global teams
CompensationAB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT:
$114,600 - $151,800MB & ON:
$104,500 - $143,900NB, NL, NS, PE & QC:
