Senior Electrical Engineer (P.E.) to support complex electrical engineering design efforts and support large-scale transportation and infrastructure programs.
Position SummaryThe
Senior Electrical Engineer (P.E.) will support electrical engineering design, quality control, and project execution for multi-million-dollar transportation and infrastructure projects. This role includes full project lifecycle involvement - from concept design through construction support - and offers strong growth and leadership opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform traction power & electrical system design
- Prepare electrical scopes of work & cost proposals
- Develop drawings, schematics, layouts & specifications
- Perform system calculations, modeling & analysis
- Select electrical equipment & coordinate with manufacturers
- Prepare construction cost estimates & schedules
- Support construction including review of submittals & RFIs
- Attend site visits during design & construction phase
- Participate in factory & site acceptance testing (FAT / SAT)
- Coordinate with utility companies & regulatory agencies
- Mentor and guide junior engineers
- Present technical solutions to clients & leadership
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) License - Required
- 10+ years of electrical design experience
- Strong experience in:
- Power distribution systems
- Substations & switchgear
- Traction power systems
- Grounding, lighting & low-voltage systems
- Expert knowledge of NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEEE & UL codes
- Software experience:
- AutoCAD
- Revit
- OpenBuildingDesigner
- OpenRoadDesigner
