As a Senior Electrical Engineer - Buildings (Healthcare) based in Vancouver, you will shape environments where safety, resilience, and human wellbeing intersect. From acute-care facilities to advanced medical campuses, your expertise will help deliver spaces that enable life-saving work every day.

You'll join our collaborative Buildings group-an integrated team of engineers, designers, technologists, and specialists who push innovation across Canada's healthcare sector.
Your Impact
  • Lead the electrical design of complex healthcare facilities, including acute care, outpatient, and specialized treatment spaces.
  • Develop power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, nurse call, communication, grounding, and emergency/backup systems aligned with CSA healthcare standards.
  • Oversee project delivery from concept through construction, ensuring quality, technical accuracy, and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, structural, ICT, and architectural partners to deliver coordinated and buildable designs.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to intermediate and junior electrical team members.
  • Conduct site reviews, field investigations, and liaise with contractors during construction.
  • Contribute to proposals, client presentations, and design strategy sessions for major pursuits.
  • Champion design innovation in energy efficiency, resilience, and patient-centred care environments.
The Skills That Set You Apart
  • 10+ years of electrical engineering experience, with at least 5 years focused on healthcare facilities.
  • P.Eng. designation (or eligibility) in British Columbia.
  • Expertise in CSA Z32, CSA Z8000, and healthcare electrical systems best practices.
  • Strong proficiency with engineering design software and digital coordination tools (e.g., Revit, BIM 360).
  • Demonstrated experience delivering multidisciplinary building projects from planning through construction.
  • Ability to guide teams, influence stakeholders, and build strong technical relationships.

Compensation

Compensation:
  • AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $114,600 - $151,800
  • MB & ON: $104,500 - $143,900
  • NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $103,500 - $137,400
