Full Job Description
In the role of Senior Electrical Engineer, we'll count on you to:

  • Perform construction administration for various market sector projects
  • Provide technical third party and Title II reviews as the electrical subject matter expert.
  • Conduct QA/QC reviews for electrical projects
  • Assume the electrical lead on assigned projects
  • Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
  • Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager, Project Architect and other disciplines
  • Coordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule
  • Work with the Project Manager and Regional Controller on project reviews with corporate management as needed
  • Lead project charettes and project reviews for projects in their market sectors.
  • Be available for proposal (pursuit) writing and fee.
  • Be involved with project interviews, when necessary.
  • Be involved with candidate interviews and hiring process, when necessary.
  • Direct the activities of other electrical engineering professionals and act as a mentor to other staff members as needed
  • Track the financial aspects of design projects and coordinate and adjust the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed within the parameters of the agreed upon schedule
  • Perform other duties as needed

  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
  • Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems
  • Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
