As a Senior Electrical Engineer for Buildings based in Victoria, BC, you will shape the systems that power the places where people learn, heal, gather, and thrive. Your expertise will help deliver resilient, efficient, and future-ready building environments across Vancouver Island and beyond.
Your Impact
  • Design and deliver electrical building systems for commercial, institutional, civic, and mixed-use facilities.
  • Lead power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, life-safety, and low-voltage system designs from concept to construction.
  • Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, structural teams, and other disciplines to create integrated solutions.
  • Guide feasibility studies, code reviews, engineering reports, and technical evaluations.
  • Apply advanced modeling and analysis tools to enhance performance and sustainability.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technologists, supporting their growth through hands-on project involvement.
  • Coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure delivery of high-quality, cost-effective engineering solutions.
  • Contribute strategic technical leadership to proposals, project planning, and design standards development.

Compensation

Using Grade 7, Tier 3 salary ranges from your pay transparency data:
For Zone 3, salary ranges come from the available Grade 7, Tier 3 professional values in the exception document.

Compensation:
  • AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT:$114,600 - $151,800
  • MB & ON:$104,500 - $143,900
  • NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC:$97,400 - $131,200
