Full Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to support the design and delivery of electrical systems for a wide range of MEP/buildings projects. This role focuses on design production, AutoCAD, Revit, BIM coordination, and technical development of electrical systems, working closely with engineers and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop electrical design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD (power, grounding, lighting, fire alarm systems)
  • Prepare single-line diagrams, panel schedules, risers, and details
  • Design LV electrical systems (480V, 208/120V)
  • Coordinate designs with architectural, mechanical, civil, and structural disciplines
  • Participate in BIM coordination and clash detection
  • Support calculations, specifications, and documentation
  • Mentor junior designers and CAD/BIM staff
  • Perform quality reviews for compliance with codes and standards
  • Provide construction support including RFIs and submittal reviews
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 8–15+ years of MEP electrical design experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems
  • Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IBC, Life Safety Code
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with transportation or infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with SKM, ETAP, or BIM tools
  • Experience with medium-voltage systems (5kV/15kV)
  • Prior mentoring or leadership experience

Compensation Range:

$124,726.29 - $142,544.33
