Senior Electrical Designer, Mining!Your work environment at EXPIn this role, you will be a part of the mining team, based in
St. Johns, NL, Brampton, Sudbury, or
North Bay, ON, office.
What a day at EXP has in store for you- Work closely with our lead engineer and staff designers to design and draft accurate drawing packages
- Electrical drafting; single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, grounding plans, wiring, schematics, AC/DC wiring systems, loop diagrams, plan views and elevation/section drawings
- Assist the lead engineer in the design of power & lighting layouts, circuiting, fire alarm, automation & control, instrumentation and electrical details
- Draft AutoCAD, Microstation, and/or REVIT environments
- Plot, scan and issue project drawing and documentation packages
- Support multiple projects, client deadlines and deliverables
What your experience looks like- Minimum of 10 years' experience in a heavy industrial design and layout, EPCM environment is preferred
- Instrumentation experience required
- Technical college graduate with North American experience in mining and mineral or similar industries
- Design experience, preferably in the consulting industry, (preference will be given to those candidates with experience in Mineral Mining projects)
- PLC and instrumentation design
- Strong personal commitment to Safety and Quality
- Organized, self-motivated, pro-active, detail-oriented, and have good communication skills
- Sound understanding of design, engineering codes and technical standards
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.) products
- AutoCAD, MicroStation experience required
- Knowledge in engineering standards, codes and guidelines and engineering systems coordination

The salary range for this role is between $90k - $120k. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
