Senior Environmental Health & Safety Specialist
Role Overview
Administer all safety and environmental programs for Mitsubishi Power Americas Plant Services under the direction of the EHS Manager or Senior Manager.
Promote a safe and healthy work environment for employees and contractors.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance for EHS coordinators and specialists.
Key Responsibilities
Enforce safety and environmental policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
Develop and deliver EHS training programs for supervisors, managers, employees, and subcontractors.
Lead cross-functional safety and environmental audits and support continuous improvement through 6S initiatives.
Oversee environmental programs and waste disposal activities to ensure regulatory compliance.
Lead and support safety committees, audits, investigations, corrective actions, and injury reduction initiatives.
Conduct facility inspections and implement preventive and corrective measures to reduce risk.
Manage incident investigations, workers' compensation activities, recordkeeping, and regulatory reporting.
