Senior EHS Specialist - BrainerdThe Senior EHS Specialist serves as a key technical resource responsible for advancing a proactive safety culture and ensuring environmental compliance across the site. This role partners closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to reduce risk, enhance compliance, and drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.
Core Responsibilities:- Champion a culture of safety by engaging employees at all levels and promoting accountability for safe behaviors
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs, tools, and resources
- Partner with site leadership to align operational goals with safety and environmental expectations
- Lead initiatives to improve safety performance and environmental sustainability
- Conduct audits, assessments, and data analysis to identify risks and improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, permits, and reporting obligations
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
- Stay current with OSHA regulations and industry best practices
- Collaborate across departments to integrate EHS into daily operations and projects
Reporting Structure:Reports to the EHS Director
Work Environment:On-site with occasional travel to other company locations
Job RequirementsRequired Qualifications:- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in EHS, environmental studies, engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in safety, environmental, or sustainability roles
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated success influencing safety culture and driving continuous improvement initiatives
