Full Job Description
Senior Manager, eCommerce Acceleration – Amazon
MEDELA LLC
Travel: Up to 25%, including occasional international travel

Salary starting at $145K plus bonus

MEDELA LLC is seeking a Senior Manager, eCommerce Acceleration – Amazon to help accelerate profitable growth, regain market share, and strengthen Amazon capabilities across global markets.

This is a highly analytical, commercially focused role for someone who knows the Amazon ecosystem inside and out. The successful candidate will go well beyond pulling reports. This person will understand why the business is performing the way it is, what Amazon and competitors are doing, what is likely to happen next, and what actions should be taken to improve performance.

This individual will serve as a trusted strategic partner and Amazon subject matter expert. The role will analyze performance, identify opportunities and risks, develop recommendations, and help translate those recommendations into commercial execution.

Most importantly, this person will bring solutions—not simply explanations.

The right candidate will combine deep Amazon expertise, advanced analytical thinking, commercial judgment and a sense of urgency to help Medela make faster, better decisions and accelerate its Amazon business.

This is a senior individual contributor position with significant visibility and influence across Sales, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Digital Shelf, Analytics & Insights, Product and Customer Excellence.

What You’ll Do

-Turn Amazon data into commercial action. Own weekly POS and performance analysis, connecting market share, competitive activity, traffic, conversion, inventory, promotions, media and sales to identify what is driving results and where the business should act next.

-Identify opportunities to accelerate growth. Constantly evaluate Amazon performance and competitive activity. Identify where MEDELA is gaining or losing share, determine why, and provide clear, actionable recommendations to improve sales, profitability and market position.

-Lead weekly Amazon forecasting insights. Bring together POS trends, promotions, media activity, inventory, open orders, supply constraints and other demand signals to anticipate performance over the coming weeks. Partner with Demand Planning and Supply Chain to challenge assumptions, improve forecast accuracy and distinguish consumer demand from expected Amazon orders.

-Improve promotional effectiveness. Develop and evaluate Amazon promotional plans in partnership with Sales, Marketing and Finance. Assess incremental demand, ROI, profitability, cannibalization and demand pull-forward to determine where promotional investments will create the greatest value.

-Serve as an Amazon 1P and Vendor Central expert. Troubleshoot complex Amazon issues and help the organization move quickly from problem to solution. Hands-on experience should include promotions, new-item setup, merchandising, catalog issues, chargebacks, fees, suppressed products, reporting, ordering and availability.

-Optimize assortment and channel economics. Evaluate assortment, pack sizes, bundles, packaging, pricing and new-product opportunities. Understand the financial implications for both MEDELA and Amazon and identify opportunities to improve growth and profitability.

-Protect and improve margin. Partner with Finance and Customer Excellence to identify and address margin erosion related to deductions, returns, promotional spending, fees, funding and cost-to-serve.

-Know what the competition is doing. Continuously monitor competitors, market share, assortment, pricing, promotions, digital shelf activity and emerging Amazon programs. Translate competitive intelligence into recommendations the business can act on every week.

-Bring advanced analytics into decision-making. Use tools such as Stackline to uncover trends, diagnose performance gaps and identify opportunities. Partner with Marketing Analytics & Insights on Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC), marketing mix modeling (MMM), incrementality and other advanced measurement approaches.

-Strengthen digital shelf performance. Translate shopper, search, review, return and competitive insights into recommendations for content, merchandising, media and product improvements.

-Build scalable eCommerce capabilities. Partner with Analytics and IT to improve reporting, metric definitions, ASIN/product mappings, data quality, exception alerts and automation. Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to reduce manual work and improve the speed and quality of decision-making.

-Bring a global perspective. Help develop and scale Amazon growth opportunities across markets, recognizing that Amazon dynamics, promotional strategies and commercial practices differ by country.

 What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is an experienced Amazon professional who is equally comfortable inside the data and inside the business. This person doesn't simply identify that performance is off plan—they determine why, recommend what should change, and help the organization act quickly.

Required Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in eCommerce, Amazon account management, customer development, commercial strategy, planning, analytics or a related field, preferably within consumer products.
  • Significant direct Amazon 1P experience is required.
  • Experience supporting or managing an Amazon business of over $25M+ in annual revenue.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Vendor Central, including promotions, new-item setup, merchandising, catalog management, chargebacks, fees, suppressed products, reporting, ordering and availability.
  • Strong experience with Stackline and the ability to use the platform to identify trends, competitive activity, market-share opportunities and actionable commercial insights.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and evaluating Amazon promotional strategies, including ROI and profitability analysis.
  • Strong understanding of Amazon forecasting and demand signals, with experience evaluating performance and forecasts on a weekly—not simply monthly—cadence.
  • Experience analyzing POS/consumption, inventory, promotions, media and other signals to anticipate future Amazon demand.
  • Experience with assortment optimization, pricing, pack sizes, bundling and channel profitability.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and address margin erosion related to Amazon deductions, returns, fees, promotional investment and fulfillment or cost-to-serve.
  • Experience partnering directly with Finance, Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Marketing and Sales to translate insights into business decisions.
  • Strong competitive-analysis capabilities with the ability to determine what competitors are doing differently and recommend actions to improve market share.
  • Experience working across international Amazon markets or supporting a global eCommerce business strongly preferred.
 Additional Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Economics or a related field preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and business intelligence capabilities.
  • Working understanding of retail media, digital shelf, Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC), marketing mix modeling and incrementality.
  • Ability to challenge data quality, assumptions and conventional thinking rather than simply accepting the numbers presented.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Experience using automation or AI to improve eCommerce processes and decision-making is a plus.
  • SQL, Python or similar technical capabilities are advantageous but not required.
