Senior Network Engineer to help design, implement, and maintain the Postal Service Mail Processing Network Infrastructure. What You9ll Do:As a
Senior Network Engineer, you9ll be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing robust network infrastructures, including Cisco Catalyst switch deployment and Layer 2 troubleshooting.
- Architecting high-level network solutions in complex environments.
- Managing IP address allocation, routing protocols, and network security hardware/software.
- Troubleshooting complex network issues using tools like Wireshark.
- Creating technical documentation, such as statements of work, after-action reports, and presentations.
- Providing Tier 3 help desk support for multi-application networking challenges.
What You9ll Bring:- Technical Expertise:
- At least 5 years of experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco switches and routers.
- Knowledge of OSI model layers, network protocols, subnetting, and IP address management.
- Proficiency in tools like SolarWinds, MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Visio), and packet capture software.
- Problem-Solving:
- Proven ability to resolve complex networking issues and design solutions for new applications.
- Preferred Skills:
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash) and knowledge of virtualized environments.
- CCNA or higher certification is a significant plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Analytical mindset and collaborative spirit.
