Job DescriptionPosition OverviewSenior Network Engineer / Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to provide cybersecurity and network engineering support across large-scale enterprise and mission network infrastructure and information systems. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience designing, managing, securing, and supporting complex network environments while serving as a trusted cybersecurity and technical subject matter expert. This position requires a senior-level professional who can work collaboratively across multiple offices and technical teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and provide leadership in identifying, managing, and mitigating cybersecurity risks.
Key Responsibilities- Provide senior-level cybersecurity and network engineering expertise supporting large-scale enterprise and mission network infrastructure and information systems.
- Lead, manage, and collaborate on network engineering and cybersecurity initiatives across multiple offices and organizations.
- Participate in technical and cybersecurity forums and communicate regularly with stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership.
- Assess and help manage cybersecurity risks associated with enterprise network infrastructure and information systems.
- Support the design, implementation, operation, and security of complex network environments.
- Apply industry best practices for network architecture, security, routing, switching, firewalls, and data protection.
- Identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities and risks and assist in developing appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other network and cybersecurity professionals.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert and contribute to the development and standardization of network and security solutions.
- Collaborate with mission, engineering, operations, and security stakeholders to ensure network capabilities are secure, reliable, and aligned with mission requirements.
Required Skills- Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience in network engineering, cybersecurity, information systems, or a related technical discipline.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field is preferred.
- An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted for the degree.
- Demonstrated experience supporting and securing enterprise-scale or mission-critical network infrastructure and information systems.
- Strong experience with networking concepts and technologies, including:
- OSI model
- TCP/IP
- MPLS
- SONET
- Ethernet
- Demonstrated experience with:
- Network routing
- Network switching
- Firewalls
- Data protection
- Enterprise network security
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple offices, technical teams, and organizational stakeholders.
Desired SkillsCandidates with one or more of the following certifications are highly desirable:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) or equivalent
Additional DetailsFusion Innovation anticipates the annual base salary for this position will generally range from $100,000 to $215,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to:
- Years of direct applicable experience with this work and the Customer
- Relevant education, certifications, and training
- Contract labor category requirements, skill level, contract bill rate, and hours allocation
- Alignment with the position's responsibilities
- Additional specialized skills
