Primary PurposeProvide strategic and day-to-day technical leadership for the design, security, implementation, operation, modernization, and lifecycle management of the District's enterprise network and network-connected physical security infrastructure. Lead the Network Services team in delivering resilient, high-performing, and secure connectivity and safety systems that support instruction, business operations, emergency response, and the mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
Qualifications Education/Certification/Licensure Associate degree or higher (Required)
Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
Current professional-level certification in enterprise networking, wireless, network security, cloud networking, or infrastructure service management preferred (e.g., CCNP Enterprise, JNCIP-ENT, PCNSE, CWNP, ITIL, or equivalent).
Must pass Clear Creek ISD Drug and Alcohol Abuse Standards
Must pass criminal history and MVR driving record check as required by Clear Creek ISD

Expert knowledge of large-scale enterprise wired and wireless networks, including routing, switching, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, high availability, network access control, and secure device connectivity.
Advanced knowledge of network security, core services, hybrid-cloud connectivity, and IP-based physical security systems.
Knowledge of network automation, monitoring, cybersecurity frameworks, incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex, multi-layer network and physical security incidents; lead root-cause analysis; document corrective actions; and make sound decisions during high-impact outages or emergencies
Ability to lead complex projects, evaluate technologies, develop technical standards and roadmaps, estimate costs, support procurement and contract decisions, coordinate vendors, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to create and maintain accurate architecture diagrams, standards, procedures, runbooks, inventories, configuration records, and technical documentation.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical documentation, contracts, standards, policies, product lifecycle notices, and software and hardware manuals.
Experience Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience designing, implementing, securing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure, preferably in a large, multi-site K-12, higher education, government, or similarly complex environment preferred.

Major Responsibilities and Duties - Provide day-to-day technical leadership for the Network Services team, including network engineers and specialists supporting network and physical security infrastructure. Establish priorities, coordinate workload, mentor staff, review technical work, manage escalations, and provide regular status, risk, and performance updates to the Director of Network & Technical Services.
- Lead the architecture, design, implementation, standardization, optimization, and lifecycle management of resilient district-wide network infrastructure, including campus and data center wired and wireless networks, WAN and Internet connectivity, routing and switching, network security, remote access, core network services, and hybrid-cloud connectivity.
- Establish and enforce secure network architecture, engineering, configuration, and operational standards aligned with district policy and recognized cybersecurity practices, including segmentation, identity-based access, zero trust, least privilege, secure management, vulnerability remediation, and centralized visibility.
- Serve as the lead technical owner and escalation point for network infrastructure and management platforms, including controllers, firewalls, network access control, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, load balancing, monitoring and telemetry tools, configuration repositories, and network-connected video surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection systems.
- Act as part of a team and provide leadership to design, develop and implement technology systems including policies and procedures district-wide.
- Lead operational readiness and knowledge development by creating standards, runbooks, implementation and rollback plans, troubleshooting guides, and training for Technology staff and appropriate district stakeholders.
- Work cooperatively with district/campus leadership and external vendors to resolve issues.
- Provide regular updates and status reports to the appropriate supervisor.
