Job Title: Senior Network Administrator Responsibilities of the Senior Network Administrator EDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking candidates for a full-time Senior Network Administrator onsite in Radford, VA. In this position, you will focus on the implementation and sustainment of switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and network management tools in a datacenter environment supporting two separate DoD networks. Your responsibilities will include network management, analysis, troubleshooting, developing, and maintaining local operating procedures and policies, developing, and maintaining network automation and scripts, and monitoring the ongoing operation of the network.
The Senior Network Administrator will: - Implement and sustain switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and network management tools.
- Perform network management, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain local operating procedures and policies.
- Develop and maintain network automation and scripts.
- Monitor the ongoing operation of the network.
- Train junior team members.
- Implement and maintain security management strategies.
- Develop project documentation, including standard operating procedures, project plans, and network diagrams.
Qualifications: - Master's degree with 10+ years of related work experience or Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of related work experience.
- 5+ years of Network Engineering experience.
- 5+ years of configuring and maintaining switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and network management tools.
- Experience with network management, analysis, and troubleshooting tools.
- Experience with Data Center Management.
- Ability to train junior team members.
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining security management strategies (DISA STIGs experience preferred but not required).
- Computing Environment (CE) Certification Professional Level or higher (i.e., Cisco CCNP, Cisco CCNP Datacenter, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5, etc.).
- CompTIA Security+ Certified
- Active Security Clearance
