The Opportunity

As a Senior Distribution Line Engineer with WSP's Distribution team in any of our British Columbia offices, you'll help design resilient power systems that keep communities connected and ready for tomorrow.

Working within our Power Delivery subsector, you'll support low- and medium-voltage overhead and underground distribution projects that modernize energy infrastructure and solve real power delivery challenges.

You'll lead technical work, mentor others, collaborate with clients and project teams, and grow your influence within a national Power Delivery practice.

Your Impact
  • Lead distribution line design teams on utility projects ranging from customer connections to large-scale system reconfigurations.
  • Coordinate with clients, project managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders to support seamless project delivery.
  • Prepare and review overhead and underground distribution design packages, including engineering calculations, equipment sizing, material specifications, and construction documentation.
  • Provide senior technical review to ensure design deliverables are accurate, consistent, and compliant with applicable standards.
  • Use distribution design software to design, analyze, and optimize low- and medium-voltage systems.
  • Apply relevant utility, CSA, and powerline construction standards to support safe, high-quality designs.
  • Conduct site visits as required and provide engineering support during construction.
  • Identify opportunities to improve design efficiency, quality, consistency, and delivery across projects.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and the development of practical project solutions.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $114,600 - $151,800
MB & ON: $104,500 - $143,900
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $103,500 - $137,400
