Moog’s Global IT function is seeking a strategic, enterprise-minded leader to serve as theSenior Director of Technology Execution and Enablement.

In this role, you will lead the business management of IT, strengthen partnership with our operating groups, and ensure technology investments are tightly aligned to enterprise priorities. You will help advance our global technology organization into a high-performing, business-led function that delivers measurable value, enables operational excellence, and supports Moog’s smart and connected digital future.

With responsibility for an annual technology budget exceeding $120M, this role will drive disciplined investment governance, shape and execute a 3–5 year strategic technology roadmap, advance automation and business performance through data and AI, accelerate the maturity of PMO and portfolio management, and lead strategic supplier relationships with a strong focus on accountability, value realization, and favorable commercial outcomes.

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

  • Over 15 years of progressive leadership experience in IT, business operations, or technology strategy within a global manufacturing or industrial company.

  • Senior-level experience managing large-scale technology portfolios ($100M+), driving enterprise transformation, and leading cross-functional initiatives.

  • Demonstrated success in operationalizing IT strategy, leading cost optimization and performance management, and implementing business-driven governance models.

  • Deep understanding of IT operations, finance, and strategic planning.

  • Strong command of technology investment frameworks like TBM, ITIL, Agile, and Lean.

  • Exceptional executive communication and storytelling skills—able to influence senior stakeholders and articulate technology value in business terms.

  • Strong leadership presence with a bias for action, results, and collaboration.

  • Proven ability to manage change, complexity, and global execution across business and cultural boundaries.

  • Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area, or willing to relocate to work onsite.

As the Senior Director of Technology Execution and Enablement, you will…


Run IT Like a Business (i.e. equivalent of a COO for technology function)

  • Lead financial governance, planning, and investment strategy across the global IT portfolio, including capital and operational expenditures.

  • Drive transparency into IT spend, value realization, and return on investment using frameworks like Technology Business Management (TBM).

  • Create and lead an enterprise-wide process to evaluate and prioritize IT initiatives across competing demands.

  • Build trusted partnerships with operating groups to align technology priorities, investment decisions, and delivery plans with the company’s most critical business objectives.

Strategy, Roadmap & Transformation Enablement

  • Partner with the CIO and executive team to develop and communicate a multi-year technology transformation roadmap that aligns with business goals and drives competitive advantage.

  • Define and maintain a 3–5-year technology investment plan that sequences capabilities and outcomes to enable enterprise strategy and long-term value creation.

  • Operationalize strategy into actionable programs, managing interdependencies, risks, and milestones across complex initiatives (e.g. ERP transformation).

  • Champion automation, data, and AI initiatives that simplify work, improve decision quality, and deliver stronger business outcomes across the enterprise.

  • Serve as the voice of IT to the business—translating strategy, performance, and value into clear, executive-ready insights that demonstrate impact to stakeholders.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CIO and leadership team, shaping the future direction of the technology function.

  • Mentor and grow talent across the Technology Function, promoting diversity, inclusion, and high performance.


Operations & Governance

  • Establish and mature IT operating models, standards, and processes that promote operational excellence, agility, and innovation.

  • Elevate the maturity of PMO and portfolio management capabilities to strengthen prioritization, execution discipline, resource allocation, and value delivery across strategic initiatives.

  • Own the cadence of governance for technology—steering committees, business reviews, budget checkpoints, and transformation updates.

  • Drive continuous improvement through metrics, benchmarks, and external best practice adoption.

  • Lead strategic supplier and vendor relationships with clear performance expectations, accountability to business outcomes, and strong commercial discipline in contract negotiations.

  • Publish key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards that communicate the health, efficiency, and business impact of IT services and programs.

  • Lead a culture of accountability through service-level tracking, performance scorecards, and pulse surveys.
