Full Job Description
The Senior Director of Supply Chain will own the supply chain strategy and organization end-to-end. They will manage a complex multi-category strategy, build and maintain supplier relationships, and enable schedule discipline, team development, and the

systems and processes required to make the function a highly effective operational asset. This person will build the supply chain organization that matches our rapidly scaling deployment strategy.

This role coordinates incredibly closely with Engineering, Construction, and Operations, and the right leader will have a deep understanding of those disciplines, a track record of leading high-performance teams in complex operating environments, and a dedication to cross functional collaboration and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has experience building supply chains for complex hardware-driven organizations who view supply chain as a core competitive operational advantage rather than an administrative function.

Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of dedicated supply chain professionals and maintain a high-performance culture
  • Develop a deep understanding of the strategic direction of the business to inform overall supply chain strategy, KPIs, and goals to guide the organization in the right direction as the business scales
  • Manage planning, procurement, expediting, logistics, category management, administration, and compliance across subsurface, power facilities, and operational disciplines
  • Negotiate and maintain long-term strategic supplier alliances, strengthening Fervo's cost resilience, risk, and supply chain continuity
  • Implement systems required as the function scales across inventory planning, management, and logistics
  • Partner with GeoBlock Engineering, Construction, and Operations from the start of design, helping influence standardization, drive cost reduction, and decrease cycle time and surfacing supply chain constraints or considerations before they become bottlenecks
  • Drive continuous improvement

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or science
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain management
  • 3+ years of experience in managing teams

Location

Fervo Energy is headquartered in Houston, TX. This position will be eligible for some hybrid work flexibility, but regular in-office presence at our Houston office will be required.
