Full Job Description
Reporting directly to the Global Vice President of Procurement, the Senior Director, Procurement - Global Categorieswill be responsible for driving procurement excellence across multiple markets across North America for Avis Budget Group. This role will focus on harmonizing procurement practices globally while respecting regional market dynamics and requirements. What You'll Do: Global Procurement Strategy: • Create and lead end-to-end global sourcing strategies for Global Categories (i.e., IT / Technology, MRO Consumables, financial services) as well as key North American spend (e.g., outsourced labor, professional services) across multiple regions and markets, ensuring delivery of business-aligned metrics including EBITDA, service, and risk mitigation. • Establish robust global contracts, incorporating competitive terms and conditions to manage current and future risks around service, quality, market/cost volatility, regulations, currency, and other operational factors • Serve as a key enterprise thought leader in key areas including (but not limited to) insourcing vs. outsourcing, digital / artificial intelligence roadmap for ABG Vendor & Supplier Management: • Elevate key supplier relationships to deliver across scorecard metrics, including productivity and service as well as corporate social responsibility ambitions such as local business development and supplier diversity • Partner with the Procurement Operations team to design and implement a robust supplier performance measurement program and standardized processes across all international locations Team Leadership & Development: • Support the global organizational design and ensure the establishment of high-performing procurement teams, including the recruitment, development, and coaching of associates • Set KPIs and ensure adherence, performance measurement, and target achievement across all international regions • Drive process harmonization across all sites, implementing procurement best practices while adapting to local market conditions Perks You'll Get: • Paid time off • 401K retirement plan with company matched contributions • Access to Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability insurance • Eligible to elect other voluntary benefits including: Group Legal, Identity Theft, Insurance, FSA, additional life insurance coverages • Contribute up to $260 as a tax free benefit for public transportation or parking expenses • Employee discounts, including discounted prices on purchase of Avis / Budget cars • Access to an Employee Assistance Program for services including counseling, financial and legal consultation, referrals for care service, and more What We're Looking For: • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred • 15+ years of progressive procurement experience, with a strong focus on vendor management and day-to-day operational execution • Demonstrated success managing vendor relationships across a large, distributed network of sites. • Strategic and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to build consensus and align diverse stakeholders • Strong leadership skills, with experience developing and managing high-performing teams • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills The annual starting salary for this position is between $180,000 - $260,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
