Full Job Description

  • Baby Bonding Leave: 18 weeks
  • Holidays: 13 paid days per year

Minimum qualifications:
  • 15 years of experience in Human Resources, including adult development
  • 10 years of experience leading and scaling tech-enabled learning and leadership development initiatives
  • 10 years of experience solving system wide problems related to people, processes, and technology
  • 10 years of people management with experience leading an organization
  • Experience managing a portfolio of digital products, including end-to-end product strategy, user discovery, iterative development, and performance measurement

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience leading a learning and leadership development organization
  • Experience making progress in complex and fast-moving environments
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies, particularly Build-Measure-Learn Feedback Loops, and the value of Minimum Viable Product, thinking big, starting small

About the job

The People Development (PeopleDev) team works to strengthen Google's performance and culture by preparing Googlers to successfully navigate their most critical challenges today and in the future. We leverage renowned expertise, engaging content, tools, technology, and innovative design to scale learning and support Googlers at all stages of their careers - from New Hire Orientation, to manager training, to senior leadership development. In addition to high-impact learning programs, classes, and resources, we also provide organizational development consulting and customized solutions that increase the health and performance of Google's organizations and overall business. We're a team of individuals passionate about helping Googlers unlock their fullest potential.

In this role, you will lead The Google School for Leaders and provide exceptional digital and in-person learning and leadership development experiences to support the growth and development of Googlers, managers, and Directors. You will be a domain expert in adult learning, learning technology (especially AI-enabled learning), Learning Operations (e.g. delivering products at scale), and innovative practices in employee and leadership development. This is achieved through establishing an outlook and a strategy, along with a roadmap and set of goals and milestones to track progress. You will be responsible for shaping the learning culture at Google, implementing innovative ways to scale digital and in-person learning, and reimagining development for the AI era.

Responsibilities
