Job Summary: Maintains 24 hour accountability for a group of assigned departments/units and projects. Maintains responsibility for planning, leading, staffing, and directing assigned departments and areas of assigned responsibility. Participates with leadership from the governing body, medical staff, and clinical areas in planning, promoting and conducting organization-wide activities to meet the organization's mission, vision, and strategic plan. Works in conjunction with area Vice President in the development and implementation of new programs and services to enhance/expand the organization's market share. Serves as the primary back up to the designated Vice President.
Qualifications: Requires BSN and a Master's degree in a related field and 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in an acute care healthcare system. Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state(compact) license). Must possess demonstrable skill in operations, performance improvement, fiscal management, talent development and service excellence. Additional licensure and/or certification may be required for the role being supported.
