Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between the agency and stakeholders including individuals, families, and public/private agencies.

  • Create a safe environment that ensures respect and dignity for all individuals served.
  • Ensure compliance with all necessary certifications and training requirements.
  • Manage program implementation and oversee community engagement initiatives.
  • Assist in fundraising efforts to support the agency’s mission.

Description

Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (with some flexibility required)

The Senior Director of Program Services (SDPS) works with the Executive Director and management team members as a professional liaison between the agency, individuals, families, membership, and the public/private agencies served by the non-profit. The SDPS assumes the functions of the Executive Director in their absence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in related fields such as health, education, welfare, business, hospital administration or special education.
  • At least four years experience in one of the following or related fields: education, social work, sociology, vocational, residential rehabilitiation, developmental disabilities.
  • At least five years of supervisory and management experience
  • Experience in not for profit agencies a nice to have.
  • Accounting and financial experience.
  • Experience in human resources, community organization, public relations, program implementation/planning and fundraising.
  • Maintain work relationships among all levels of the organization, individuals served, families, and other providers or services in a professional manner.
  • Provide safe and nurturing environment where Individuals are treated with dignity and respect, can exercise their rights and responsibilities and are protected from abuse or neglect.
  • Obtain and maintain all required certifications and trainings (in person and online).
  • Willing and able to complete all essential responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record and reliable transportation.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
