BGIS ITS is currently seeking a Senior Director of Operations tojoin the team in Hudson, FL.

Job Summary

The Senior Director Operations drives operational excellence across the business organization through strategic initiatives with executive leadership. The role is responsible for continuous improvement in processes evaluation, standard operating procedures, automation, and resourcing. The Senior Director Operations builds and executes actionable plans to elevate efficiency, scalability and performance. Key performance indicators include service delivery, business growth and operational performance. The Senior Director Operations leads others positively exemplifying BGIS values.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Team Management
  • Ensure proper talent in place and staffing levels optimized to meet client service agreement(s) and compensation guidelines.
  • In partnership with BGIS-US leadership develop and maintain a US Technology roadmap.
  • Establish, communicate, and track accomplishment of performance standards.
  • Manage the overall selection process working with the talent team and coaching hiring managers on interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members.
  • Promote team member engagement and retention. Model a respectful and productive work environment.
  • Maintain ongoing facility training and certification programs.
  • Audit selection criteria for managers per particular site and participate in selection and hiring of key team members.
  • Develop succession plans in partnership with the People and Culture team for all senior account team members.
  • Accept responsibility for assigned program managers, continuous quality improvement and cost management.
  • Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.

Service Operations Delivery Leadership
  • Provide strategic direction on business operations processes across multiple departments implementing vision of streamlined best practices focused on excellence in client deliverables.
  • Analyze operations workflow with root cause focus and identify opportunities to increase efficiencies, streamline processes, clearly outline structure and position accountabilities.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and scalable workflows across departments and multiple teams.
  • Drive automation and system improvements to reduce manual redundancies and increase visibility of overall throughput activities.
  • Partner with BGIS-US leadership to develop and maintain a US Technology roadmap.
  • Leverage artificial intelligence (AI) solutions and emerging technologies to simplify procedures, enhance leadership decision making, and realize measurable productivity gains across business operations.
  • Lead cross functional conversations with internal departments including operations, finance, purchasing, dispatch, and other key stakeholders to align priorities and execute initiatives.
  • Build and manage project plans from concept through execution tracking achievement of clearly defined scope of work.
  • Contribute to resource planning and organizational growth strategies to ensure scalability in key operational functions include internal Enterprise client solutions.
  • Ensures solutions comply with all requirements including, but not limited to, environmental, health and safety and building standard legislation.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders in continuous identification, development, and implementation of innovative solutions to continually deliver value to the clients.

Measurement and Profitability Focus
  • Establish metrics, reporting, and accountability frameworks to track performance improvements.
  • Deliver 60.5% annual cost savings across the business, annually.
  • Track measurable improvements in productivity, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide reporting to multiple audiences highlighting impactful KPIs (key performance indicators).
  • Evaluate success of increased adoption of standardized processes and systems.
  • Promote increased data integrity and accuracy leading to clarity and accountability reducing rework and inefficiencies.
  • Exhibit strategic accountability for contribution to achieving profitability targets through effective planning, leadership, operational, financial and risk management, as well as implementation of process and technological improvements.
  • Recommend strategic and account expansion plans through development and implementation partnering with internal stakeholders for business growth, achieving/enhancing performance, implementing additional services and other future objectives.
  • Maintain awareness of potential market opportunities through networking and other activities enabling business acquisition and expansion.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Bachelor9;s Degree in Business Management, Facilities Management or related field of study or equivalent work experience. MBA level studies are an asset.
  • Minimum 12 years of business portfolio, account management, and operations leadership work experience.
  • Proven ability to identify issues, build plans, and drive results.
  • Comfortable operating across both strategy and hands-on execution.
  • Exceptional business acumen skills and managing business portfolios.
  • High level of internal and external client service orientation and a sense of urgency.
  • Well-developed communication skills including negotiating, influencing, and persuading others to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Continuous improvement and quality mindset along with exceptional desire to seek/incorporate innovative practices and technologies delivering value to clients.
  • Known for providing creative thought leadership while also listening and engaging others to provide input in shaping the vision.

  • Professional composure with all audiences including executive level. Tailors communication style and delivery to different audiences and utilized active listening to gain clarification from others.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Experience in operations, business operations, consulting or similar roles preferred.
  • Lean/Six Sigma with emphasis on reducing waste and streamline operations a plus.
