Full Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Director of Marketing. The Senior Director of Marketing is a senior commercial leader responsible for setting and executing brand and product strategy in the U.S., with a focus on driving patient access, and supporting long-term growth within the rare retina disease space. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, this role offers the opportunity to work with strong clinical data for our CGT and a broad healthcare ecosystem.

This role leads U.S. marketing strategy and execution, omnichannel implementation, and market expansion. The Senior Director will develop the team, drive cross-functional alignment, and use performance insights to continuously optimize impact; ideal candidates bring proven brand leadership in retina and/or rare disease.

Job Requirements
  • Evolve brand strategy in year two of launch to accelerate adoption, strengthen positioning, and maximize commercial opportunity
  • Own and refine the brand value proposition and narrative to advance ENCELTO's market position
  • Lead U.S. market expansion strategy by identifying priority segments and growth levers, defining target accounts and customer pathways, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver phased expansion plans with measurable milestones
  • Optimize branded and unbranded campaigns using data-driven, omnichannel approaches across HCP, patient, and advocacy audiences
  • Scale disease education and address barriers to patient identification, access, and treatment and prepare the market expansion
  • Collaborate with Professional Education, Training and field teams to identify best practices, uncover needs/trends, and build relationships to improve consistency of brand strategy execution
  • Strengthen patient pull-through by partnering with Field, Market Access, and Patient Services to improve the end-to-end treatment journey
  • Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering accountability, customer empathy, and operational excellence.
  • Lead annual brand planning with a focus on post-launch optimization, growth, and lifecycle strategy
  • Drive real-world insight generation and apply learnings to continuously refine strategy and execution
  • Lead high-impact cross-functional teams to ensure aligned, agile execution across commercialization efforts
  • Monitor performance against key metrics, driving accountability for sustained growth in a competitive market
  • Translate insights, and analytics into clear actions that optimize performance and ROI
  • Partner with analytics and market research to distill insights, validate business opportunities, optimize marketing mix, and monitor return on investment (ROI) of marketing programs
  • Manage budgets, align resources, and work with both internal stakeholders (including executives) and external partners (e.g., agencies) to deliver integrated marketing plans that meet business objectives.
  • Oversee agencies of record, multiple external vendors and internal departments including marketing, analytics, operations, legal, regulatory, medical affairs, compliance, and IT.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree, MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • 12+ years of relevant pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience
  • 5+ years of progressive people management experience in marketing roles of increasing responsibility
  • Broad commercial experience across U.S. ECP marketing, patient marketing, and omnichannel marketing required
  • Proven success, leading and delivering results and managing high-impact projects and tactics
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects through Legal, Medical, and Regulatory review and approval
  • Strong understanding of key laws and regulations impacting the pharmaceutical industry (PhRMA Code, HIPAA, FD&C Act, Anti-Kickback Statute) with a commitment to ethical and compliant practices
  • Experience working in a small-to-mid-sized biopharmaceutical company is required

  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
