Carolina Caring is seeking a Senior Director of Information Technology & Security to provide strategic leadership, governance, and operational oversight of our organization's technology environment while serving as our HIPAA Security Officer.
This senior leadership role will oversee enterprise applications, technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, managed IT services, business continuity and disaster recovery, technology projects, vendor relationships, and Carolina Caring's internal Information Technology staff. The Senior Director will collaborate with organizational leaders and external technology partners to identify and implement technology solutions that enhance patient care, employee experience, information security, efficiency, and organizational performance.

Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, Business, or related field required.
Master's degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, ITIL, CHCIO, or comparable credentials are preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of ten years of progressively responsible information technology experience, including significant technology leadership responsibility.
Demonstrated experience with enterprise applications, technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, vendor management, technology project implementation, budgeting, and strategic planning is required.
Experience managing internal technology resources and outsourced technology service providers is required.
Experience working within a regulated environment and demonstrated knowledge of information security, technology risk management, business continuity, and disaster recovery are required.
Healthcare information technology leadership experience is strongly preferred, particularly within hospice, home health, palliative care, post-acute care, or other community-based healthcare environments.
Previous experience serving as a HIPAA Security Officer or in a comparable information security leadership capacity is preferred.
Experience with Medicare and Medicaid healthcare environments, clinical and financial healthcare applications, and healthcare regulatory requirements is preferred.
