Senior Director of Financial Reporting & Systems | Summit Healthcare Mgmt | Franklin, Tennessee
About the Job:
The Financial Reporting Systems Sr. Director/Director is responsible for the Company's financial systems and information technology by overseeing all systems related to accounting and finance, including the ERP, budgeting and forecasting tools, and financial data management and reporting platforms. This leader oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise financial software to ensure data integrity, financial reporting accuracy, and process automation, while maintaining alignment between financial systems and the Company's broader system strategy. The role is also responsible for maintaining a consolidated reporting structure that provides relevant information by division, department, function, payor, service line, and other key business dimensions. In partnership with accounting and finance team leaders, this individual identifies process and automation improvement opportunities and executes critical, complex system improvements that support the Company's financial operations and strategic priorities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

System Administration & Optimization:
• Lead the configuration and maintenance of enterprise-level financial and practice management systems. This includes overseeing application security, managing upgrades, and ensuring software supports changing organizational needs.

Process Improvement & Integration:
• Collaborate with senior leadership and IT departments to design solutions that integrate systems and streamline financial workflows.

Financial Reporting & Data Governance:
• Oversee the development of standard reporting tools, custom dashboards, and data collection measurement systems to provide actionable insights to management.

Risk Management & Compliance:
• Ensure that systems have appropriate application controls in place to mitigate financial risks. Guarantee that financial practices and technology platforms comply with corporate policies and healthcare regulations.

Team Leadership & Vendor Management:
• Manage cross-functional IT and financial teams and negotiate with or manage external software vendors.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Complies with organizational policies, procedures, performance improvement initiatives and maintains regulatory and industry standards.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Exempt employees meet expectations to work additional hours as required to meet facility needs and project deadlines.
• Accepts responsibility for professional growth and development of self and attends all mandatory facility in-services and staff development activities as scheduled.
• Maintains professionalism and confidentiality of facility employees and clients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, management information systems, computer science or related field from an accredited college or university
• Seven or more years of progressive experience spanning accounting, financial planning, and ERP systems within complex corporate environments; experience with deployment of an ERP is preferred
• Strong understanding of and experience with ERP systems and process automation tools
• Ability to map out business requirements, perform cost-benefit analyses and migrate data securely
• Proven capability to align department tactics with broader organizational goals; proven skills at managing remote employees and vendors
• Strong communicator with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical business terms; collaborative and relationship-oriented, with demonstrated ability to work across Finance, IT, operations, and external vendors; effective change leader with strong project ownership, attention to detail, executive presence, and the ability to remain organized and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

CPA, PMP, CMA, and/or MBA preferred

WORK LOCATION:

This position is on-site at the Company's headquarters in Franklin, TN and is not a remote position.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:

Five or more years of progressive supervisory experience
