Position SummaryReporting to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Enrollment, the Senior Director of Enrollment Management serves as the strategic and operational leader of undergraduate and graduate admissions, including recruiting, evaluating, and enrolling a talented student body that reflects Cap Tech's mission.
The Senior Director of Enrollment Management holds leadership over recruitment strategy, application review, enrollment outcomes, and the performance and culture of the Admissions team. The Senior Director partners closely with other directors to advance shared goals, and collaborates with the VPAAE in driving enrollment growth strategies.
The Senior Director will be a highly motivated individual with strong management, organizational, and interpersonal skills, who is passionate about growing enrollment and ensuring a smooth admissions pathway for prospective students.
This is a full-time exempt position on our beautiful 52-acre campus in Laurel, MD, on the Baltimore Washington parkway.
Responsibilities- Lead admissions operations including the following areas:
- Undergraduate recruitment and territory management
- Graduate recruitment
- Application review and admissions policy
- Admissions operational workflows
- Data, technology, and CRM (JRM, Salesforce)
- Transfer and pathway partnerships
- Budget and resources
- Develop and execute comprehensive, data-driven recruitment plans to increase enrollment and attract a diverse applicant pool;
- Oversee the evaluation of applications, ensure consistent and holistic reviews, and finalize acceptance or rejection decisions in coordination with academics;
- Recruit, develop, and retain a business-minded and service-oriented admissions team, cultivating a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence;
- Track and analyze enrollment metrics and application trends to report directly to the VPAAE;
- Design and supervise targeted communication plans to guide prospective students through the application process and yield admitted students;
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications- Master's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Possess at least 10 years of experience in leading and developing teams;
- Demonstrated experience building and executing student enrollment strategies;
- Possess proficiency with CRM and SIS (Jenzabar and Salesforce is preferred);
- Exhibit an ability to perform administrative duties with speed and accuracy;
- Possess the ability to develop successful partnerships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Possess excellent management skills;
- Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Physical DemandsThere are limited physical demands; however, this position requires sitting occasionally for extended periods of time, and repetitive motions for tasks such as operating a computer mouse and keyboard, and hearing and speaking on the telephone. The candidate must be able to lift, pull, bend, grasp, and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
Salary RangeThe salary for this position typically ranges from $95,000 to $105,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
