Job Description:

The Sr Director, Curriculum Strategy & Future Skills drives the strategy for Pluralsight's content coverage, with a forward-looking mandate to identify, shape, and teach the skills of the future. This role translates emerging technology trends, workforce shifts, and market signals into a cohesive curriculum strategy that ensures Pluralsight remains the industry leader in skills development.

The Sr Director, Curriculum Strategy & Future Skills partners closely with Product, Design, Engineering, and Go-To-Market (GTM) leaders to deliver innovative, future-focused learning experiences. They also collaborate continuously with Pluralsight's global author community and technical SMEs, leveraging this collective intelligence to enable scalable, high-quality content development. In partnership with Content Production leadership, they ensure curriculum priorities are effectively translated into published content that delivers outcomes aligned with customer needs and business goals.

What you'll do:
  • Define and own the strategy for Pluralsight's curriculum, with a specific focus on identifying and shaping the skills of the future
  • Translate emerging technology trends, labor market insights, and customer needs into a forward-looking curriculum roadmap
  • Align curriculum strategy with product innovation, platform capabilities, and GTM priorities to ensure cohesive market positioning
  • Own and report on the performance of Pluralsight's curriculum portfolio, using data-driven insights to measure impact, prioritize investments, and demonstrate ROI to executive leadership
  • Lead and develop a multi-level leadership organization consisting of Curriculum Directors and Managers, establishing operating rhythms and performance expectations across the curriculum function
  • Define scalable frameworks and ways of working that enable distributed teams to move quickly, in parallel, while delivering a cohesive, consistent learner experience
  • Serve as a thought leader and executive voice for curriculum strategy, representing Pluralsight's point of view internally and also externally, with authors, customers, partners, and industry audiences


Experience you'll bring:
  • Deep expertise in curriculum design and modern learning methodologies
  • Proven ability to identify and translate emerging trends into actionable business strategies
  • Strong executive presence with experience influencing senior partners and external audiences
  • Systems thinking with the ability to orchestrate and align distributed partners across a complex ecosystem
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform curriculum decisions, measure impact, and continuously optimize outcomes
  • Strong understanding of the technology landscape, including emerging domains and key industry players


Requirements:
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in technical education, curriculum development, content creation, and/or publishing
  • 8+ years of leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to inspire and develop distributed teams, establish clear expectations across geographies and time zones, and drive a culture of high performance and accountability
  • Experience building or scaling a content/curriculum function at a SaaS or EdTech company
  • Track record of launching new curriculum domains or learning programs
  • This is a remote role; however, applicants located within 45 miles of our Westlake/Dallas, TX office should expect to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays. This approach enables more effective collaboration, quicker decision-making, and a stronger culture, while still providing flexibility.

Physical Requirements:

This role is primarily performed in an office or home office setting and involves standard computer-based work.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $190,000 - $250,000 USD. Actual compensation will depend on location, skills, experience, and other factors. Additional benefits and bonuses may apply.
