Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week (Core Business Hours)Pay Rate: $100,00/YRLocation: Hagerstown, MD Position Description:The Senior Director of Community Living Programs provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for adult residential services supporting approximately 150 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across 54 community-based homes. Oversees 300 Direct Support Professionals and 14 managers to ensure high-quality, person-centered services aligned with individualized support, behavioral, and nursing care plans.
Leads service delivery to promote choice, dignity, independence, health, safety, and community inclusion while maintaining regulatory compliance, fiscal responsibility, and operational effectiveness. Champions Person-Centered Thinking principles and ensures adherence to agency, local, state, federal, and DDA requirements.
Advances organizational strategic goals, quality improvement initiatives, CARF accreditation standards, and best practices through performance monitoring and outcome measurement. Serves as a liaison with regulatory agencies and community partners, fostering collaboration, accountability, and excellence in services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services with 10+ years of experience in the developmental disabilities field; or
- Master's Degree in Human Services with 7+ years of experience in the developmental disabilities field.
- Minimum 5 years of direct supervisory experience leading and developing staff.
- Minimum 2 years of experience administering Human Services programs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of services and supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership, program management, and operational oversight experience.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams on strategic planning, policy development, special projects, investigations, committee participation, and organizational initiatives.
- Proven ability to cultivate collaborative working relationships across departments to support organizational goals and continuous quality improvement.
- The successful candidate will need to pass a background check, and pre-employment health screens which includes a drug screen and physical/ergonomic test
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
