Description & Requirements

a day in the life: what you'll do
  • Lead a team responsible for executing all retail construction projects within North America (New Store Openings Optimizations, Renovations, Temp Spaces, Pop-up build outs, etc.
  • Lead a team responsible for all Repairs and Maintenance programs within the North America Retail portfolio to ensure we maintain a safe, comfortable, and luxury experience for all guests and educators.
  • Develop and implement new execution strategies, with a strategic focus on elevating quality and reducing costs to improve overall store economics
  • Oversee the successful delivery of all projects on time and on budget while managing key project level milestones and metrics
  • Oversee all major vendor relationships across the Construction and Facilities categories (50+ vendors) including onboarding/ offboarding vendors, establishing and maintaining service level agreements, and optimizing sourcing strategies
  • Manage the timely execution of all repairs within established budgets and service level agreements.
  • Manage the proactive replacement strategy for fixed assets nearing the end of their useful life
  • Provide leadership to a team monitoring performance, conducting regular pace checks, and offering constructive feedback to support their professional development
  • Partner and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders

  • Coach, mentor, and develop a team of skilled Construction and Facilities Management professionals
  • Collaborate with Retail Operations, Construction, Real Estate, Store Design, Alternate Channels, Procurement, and FP&A on new ways of working in the pursuit of operational excellence
  • Play a key role in shaping strategic decisions for the area or team regarding capital and expense repairs/projects
  • Establish collaborative partnerships with stakeholders throughout the organization to enhance communication and align objectives for successful outcomes.
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to evaluate complex situations, analyze data, and provide informed recommendations for optimal solutions
qualifications
  • 15+ years project management experience within a retail construction environment
  • Facilities management or equivalent experience
  • Vendor Management experience
  • 10+ years of leading construction professionals, contractors, and teams
  • Demonstrated experience in creating/managing a portfolio of projects from identification through to project close-out
  • Expert in managing construction budgets, value engineering conversations and negotiating change orders
  • Must be confident and concise in storytelling/presenting to Sr Executives (CEO, President and BoD) that is supported with proficient financial acumen
  • Strategic, people-focused leader who can develop and mentor teams and getting them to excel in their role
  • Must have strong and proven work ethic, operating with utmost integrity
  • Expert negotiation skills and tactics, who can articulate a compelling argument and drive negotiations to a favourable conclusion
  • Must be able to collaborate and enroll others with a desire for constant self-improvement and learning; experience working in a matrixed organization with a variety of stakeholders
  • Must be versatile and able to manage multiple projects in various stages at any one time in the life cycle of a project
  • Practiced in store development processes, vendor management, client relations
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Project, SharePoint
  • Travel may be required to markets and store sites pre-, during and post-construction (up to 40% of your time)
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalents from a 4-year college preferred

compensation and benefits package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and teamperformance. Thetypical hiring range for this position is from$202,700 - $266,100annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and equity offerings, subject to program eligibility requirements.
