The Opportunity

The Senior Director, National Field Medical Lead will report to the SVP of Medical Affairs and play a pivotal role in advancing Entrada's neuromuscular portfolio. This leader will be responsible for developing and executing the field medical strategy, partnering closely with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, Clinical Development, Patient Advocacy, and Corporate Affairs to ensure alignment with corporate and medical objectives. This individual will build and lead the Field Medical Director team, establishing KOL engagement strategies, overseeing field medical operations and CRM infrastructure, generating strategic insights, and ensuring effective communication of field intelligence across the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute on all field medical strategy and tactics including driving key field intelligence and communication efforts.
  • Hire and lead national field medical team, including working with SVP on team expansion as necessary.
  • Work with Scientific communications lead to develop robust scientific onboarding plans and tactics, including monitoring and assessing of field medical teams.
  • Partner with scientific communications lead to develop robust and timely creation of relevant field materials including materials on disease state, clinical research, manuscripts and congress publications.
  • Collaborate closely with Clinical Operations and Development, therapeutic area leads and patient advocacy to support clinical trials as appropriate.
  • Partner with MI and sales lead to develop aligned, compliant and timely support of medical information requests.
  • Work with SVP, legal, compliance and commercial teams to develop clear, compliant policies and procedures on field commercial interactions, investigator sponsored research, grants funding and congresses are developed and implemented
  • Partner with legal, compliance, sales and marketing, market access and patient advocacy on aligned field strategies.
  • Support market access efforts by developing robust and timely field medical support of payer activities.
  • Lead and ensure execution of KOL engagement and advocacy plans and advisory board plans in collaboration with therapeutic area medical directors, patient advocacy leads and commercial teams.
  • Lead and manage field medical congress strategy and tactics including developing processes for pre and post conference deliverables that encompass key data and competitive intelligence, attendance and staffing of booths, HCP interactions, dinners, advisory boards.
  • Lead and management of KOL lists for corporate interactions, patient advocacy initiatives, authorship etc.
  • Work with medical operations team to plan and implement strategy and tactics at internal meetings and congresses.
  • Work with SVP and operations lead to ensure alignment to medical strategic plan and budget.
  • Lead the quarterly strategic insights process and contribute to the twice yearly medical affairs communications regarding key activities as well as ad hoc communications to senior leaders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams/colleagues to develop congress plans to ensure insight sharing and alignment across teams, and efficient execution of strategies and tactics.

  • Advanced medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent), PharmD or PhD with 10+ years of medical affairs experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry
  • Experience in rare diseases, launch experience preferred
  • Proven success in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, smaller company environment is highly desired.
  • Strong track record of building and leading field medical teams.
  • Proven experience in working collaboratively and cross functionally across the enterprise of field medical teams, clinical development, commercial, sales, market access and other key functions and demonstrated ability to inform and shape company/product strategy.
  • Demonstrated understanding of laws, regulations, standards, and guidance governing the conduct of field medical interactions.
  • This is a US based remote position, with preference given to local New England based candidates. This role will require minimum quarterly travel to the Entrada Therapeutics Headquarters located in Boston, MA.
  • Ability to travel approximately up to 50% of the time, as determined by the needs of the business.

The salary for this opportunity ranges from $277,000- $317,000. The final base compensation offered will depend on several considerations which include but may not be limited to a candidate's skills, competencies, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
