About the Role

The Senior Director, Market Intelligence will serve as the architect and executive leader of the Market Intelligence function for the Auto & Home Vertical and across the broader enterprise. This role is responsible for defining and executing a best-in-class intelligence strategy that transforms macroeconomic trends, competitive activity, and customer performance into strategic foresight and actionable insight.

Reporting directly to the SVP & GM, Auto Vertical, this highly visible position oversees a team of Senior Market Managers and interfaces regularly with Product Management, Client Engagement, Analytics, and Executive Leadership to drive cross-functional decision-making, innovation, and market differentiation.

Responsibilities

Strategic Intelligence Leadership
  • Develop and operationalize a vision for enterprise Market Intelligence that supports strategic planning, GTM execution, and competitive response.
  • Oversee the design and execution of high-value market deliverables, including briefings, landscape assessments, and insight repositories.

Customer and Competitive Intelligence
  • Lead the development of a Customer Intelligence capability that benchmarks internal performance against market peers and contextualizes solution value.
  • Manage the Competitive Intelligence program and associated tools to monitor market movements, competitor strategy, and ecosystem developments.

Insight Governance and Standards
  • Collaborate with Analytics and Product Management to define and maintain a centralized Insights Metrics Catalog with standardized KPIs, metric definitions, and data sources.
  • Ensure all intelligence products are methodologically rigorous, traceable, and reproducible across business use cases.

Stakeholder Engagement and Thought Leadership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to SVPs, GMs, and cross-functional leaders on all matters of market, competitor, and customer intelligence.
  • Support external positioning through thought leadership content and participation in strategic customer and industry forums.

Organizational Leadership and Talent Development
  • Lead, coach, and scale a high-performing team of Senior Market Managers.
  • Establish a team culture grounded in strategic curiosity, analytical discipline, and enterprise collaboration aligned with our cultural beliefs.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree in Strategy, Analytics, or Economics preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in the insurance industry or adjacent sectors, with at least 5 years in a senior intelligence or strategic leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in market intelligence, product strategy, and data storytelling within a matrixed, high-stakes environment.
  • Advanced fluency in Power BI, SQL, Excel, and market/competitive intelligence platforms.
  • Exceptional communication skills, executive presence, and ability to translate data into action at all levels of the organization.
