Full Job Description
Labcorp is seeking a Senior Director, IT Service Delivery for a dynamic team in Durham, NC. This position can also be Remote based.

The Senior Director, IT Service Delivery position will be responsible to ensure the timely Delivery and Release Management of projects that support Biopharma Laboratory Solutions (BLS).

This position will be partnered with key business and IT stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of technology deliverables, that include projects comprised of applications, system implementations, system upgrades, system enhancements and system integration projects.

The position will be responsible to oversee the tracking of the full portfolio of IT projects and initiatives, prioritized with the business stakeholders and tracking and control of the project financials across the projects and initiatives.

The position will support the strong cross-functional collaboration with all Enterprise IT departments, as well as Business Stakeholders, Finance and Vendors to ensure successful delivery and support of business technology solutions.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible.

Applicants who live within 35 miles of either the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC location will follow a hybrid schedule. This schedule includes a minimum of three in-office days per week at an assigned location, either Burlington or Durham, supporting both collaboration and flexibility.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage Service Delivery Managers in the end to end delivery of IT projects and initiatives, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets are met.
  • Oversee the coordination efforts across Technical, QA, Architecture, and business teams are being adhered to ensure production readiness inclusive of project plans, scope definition, detailed activities, scheduled baselines, resource plans, and cost estimates to ensure project alignment and release readiness.
  • Oversee and ensure the tracking of project performance through KPIs, sprint metrics, burndown charts, schedule variance, effort tracking, quality indicators and adoption metrics.
  • Ensure the use of AI powered tools to enhance planning accuracy, automate documentation, identify risks, and generate project insights and dashboards.
  • Oversee the monitoring of project progress, ensure project plans are adjusted as needed, and ensure timely escalation of risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise status reports, dashboards, and summaries for stakeholders and executives.
  • Ensure Service Delivery adherence to enterprise IT governance policies, change control, security, and compliance standards, including AI governance.
  • Facilitate post implementation reviews, lessons learned, and continuous improvement activities for all projects and initiatives.
  • Promote a Service Delivery culture focused on predictability, accountability, and customer adoption outcomes.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10 or more years' of experience in IT project delivery, Agile delivery management, or related roles, including delivery of digital, data, or AI enabled initiatives
  • 8 or more years' of experience managing teams and projects using both Agile and traditional PM methodologies.
  • 1 or more years' of experience supporting delivery of AI-enabled solutions, with awareness of AI lifecycle considerations such as data readiness, model dependencies, integration complexity, and production readiness.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP, CAPM, CSM, or SAFe certification (or progress toward certification).
  • 5 or more years of experience working on enterprise platform projects, implementations and enhancements.
  • 1 or more years of experience with generative AI, project intelligence platforms, or AI driven automation tools.
  • Current or prior Labcorp experience


Additional Job Standards:
  • Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, risk management, performance and adoption tracking.
  • Strong proficiency in project delivery, reporting, or productivity workflows.
  • Experience with cross functional delivery involving engineering, QA, architecture, and data teams.
  • Familiarity with data driven reporting, KPI frameworks, and dashboarding tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Pay Range: $175K to $225K/yr

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers. Compensation may also include discretionary short- and long-term incentive packages.
