About the role.The Sr. Director - Infrastructure AI & Automated Operations is a critical global leadership role responsible for driving McCain's 2030 digital transformation through an AI-first, automation-first infrastructure strategy. Reporting to the VP, Infrastructure Engineering & Operations, this role leads the modernization of global IT infrastructure across data centers, cloud, networking, end-user services, and enterprise platforms.
This leader will embed DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), observability, and GenAI/Agentic AI into IT operations to deliver resilient, scalable, and future-ready infrastructure supporting McCain's global manufacturing plants and offices. The role will also oversee vendor ecosystems, drive innovation, and ensure operational excellence across all infrastructure services.
What you'll be doing.- Lead global infrastructure transformation aligned with McCain's 2030 strategy and digital roadmap
- Drive AI-first and automation-first operations using GenAI, Agentic AI, and AIOps technologies
- Oversee infrastructure services including cloud platforms, data centers, networking, edge infrastructure, and end-user services
- Enable AI infrastructure deployment, including scalable platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Terraform) and secure AI operations
- Embed DevSecOps and SRE practices to improve reliability, automation, and performance
- Modernize IT Service Management (ServiceNow) with AI-driven workflows and self-service capabilities
- Partner with vendors to deliver innovation across GenAI, observability, and automation ecosystems
- Lead global 24/7 operations ensuring high availability, resilience, and performance of mission-critical systems
- Drive cloud migration strategies, including SAP and enterprise platform transformations
- Establish KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics (e.g., MTTR, uptime, cost optimization) to measure success
- Lead, develop, and inspire global teams while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
What you'll need to be successful.- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 15+ years of IT infrastructure leadership experience, including 5+ years in global senior roles
- Proven expertise in cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP), hybrid environments, and data center operations
- Strong experience with DevOps, SRE, automation, and full-stack observability platforms
- Demonstrated leadership in AI/GenAI, AIOps, Agentic AI, and enterprise automation solutions
- Experience deploying and managing AI infrastructure, including LLMs/SLMs and prompt engineering
- Background in large-scale global operations supporting manufacturing or CPG environments preferred
- Expertise in ServiceNow ITSM and AI-driven service management transformation
- Strong vendor management, negotiation, and governance experience
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, IAM, and zero-trust architecture principles
- Experience with infrastructure tools (e.g., Terraform, Zscaler, Cisco, Cloudflare) and observability platforms (e.g., Grafana, New Relic)
- Proven ability to drive digital transformation, deliver measurable outcomes, and lead high-performing teams
About the team.This role is part of McCain's Global Infrastructure, Engineering & Operations organization. The Sr. Director leads a team of 5-10 direct reports and oversees a broader ecosystem of 100-150 indirect and vendor resources. The team operates globally, supporting 24/7 infrastructure and applications across McCain's manufacturing plants, offices, and digital platforms. This leader collaborates closely with cross-functional technology teams, security, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise-wide impact.
Compensation Package : $175,000.00 - $225,000.00 . CAD annually + Bonus eligibility + Long-term incentive eligibility
