Full Job Description
SUMMARY AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provides strategic leadership and direction for all human resources (HR) functions for a rural Critical Access Hospital. Partners with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational goals, workforce sustainability, and a high-performing culture aligned with organizational mission and values.

This role oversees HR operations for the organization ensuring consistency, compliance, and operational excellence in all aspects of human resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and culture.
  • Develops and implements HR strategies that align with organizational priorities, including patient care, employee engagement, and operational performance.
  • Leads workforce planning initiatives to address recruitment, retention, and succession planning, with a focus on rural healthcare challenges.
  • Partners with clinical and operational leaders to support recruitment of physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing, and allied health staff.
  • Oversee employee relations, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and practices.
  • Directs the design and administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness within the regional healthcare market.
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state employment laws and healthcare regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, Joint Commission).
  • Leads leadership development, performance management, and organizational development initiatives.
  • Oversee HR operations, including HR'S, reporting, and data analytics to support decision-making.
  • Promotes a culture of respect, inclusion, and continuous improvement consistent with LRH values.
