Full Job Description
The Senior Director, FP&A - Wholesale is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving sales and profit strategies for our Wholesale channel. This individual will oversee data-driven forecasting and collaboration with cross-functional teams to align sales and profit goals with the Company's broader business objectives. With a deep emphasis on analytics and strategic decision-making, this role will play a pivotal role in managing short-term sales execution and long-term planning for Carter's. This role reports to the SVP, Finance, manages 2 direct reports and is based in our headquarters in Atlanta, GA (4 days a week on-site). 50%: Sales Planning & Strategy Development - Develop and lead the quarterly sales forecast and annual planning processes aligning with revenue and profitability targets. - Collaborate with the Chief Sales Officer to set and achieve Wholesale long-term sales strategies and growth objectives. - Partner with Wholesale, Merchandising, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment of strategies and operational execution. - Partner with Sales team to develop and update a financial Long-Range Plan (LRP) with associated revenue and gross margin (GM) targets by channel, incorporating strategic initiatives - Translate top-down sales forecast from Finance into initial annual plans (sales and margin targets) - Work closely with the CFO, SVP Finance and senior management to monitor and report on the company's high priority business initiatives including new strategic opportunities. 50%: Forecasting & Analytics - Implement advanced analytics tools and methodologies to refine forecasting process - Identify risks in forecasting or demand planning and implement contingency plans to handle disruptions effectively. - Prepare customer profitability and partner with Sales team on identifying improvements - Analyze Wholesale segment profitability and understand business drivers - Participate in quarterly earnings call preparation including materials for Quarterly Business Review with leadership team. - Prepare materials for Audit Committee and Board of Directors. WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF: Must have: - Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred - 10+ years of experience in FP&A. - Advanced proficiency in forecasting software, sales planning tools and data analytics (e.g., SAP, Tableau, Power BI). - Proven ability to handle large datasets and deliver clear, actionable insights. Preferred skills and experience: - Industry experience in retail, consumer goods, or wholesale strongly preferred. - Intellectually curious; strong interest in understanding our various business models and channels. - Strategic problem-solving and decision-making skills. - Strong work ethic; ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. - Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
