Full Job Description
We're hiring a Senior Director, Content Analytics & Special Projects to join our Content team at EMARKETER.
The Role and Team:

This role sits within EMARKETER's Content organization and is responsible for driving strategic innovation across our research infrastructure while leading content analytics for the business. You will lead a portfolio of high-impact initiatives focused on modernizing the data, systems, and workflows that power our research products, while also helping shape content strategy through analytics and performance insights. Working closely with Content, Forecasting, Data Products, and Product & Technology leadership, you'll play a critical role in advancing how EMARKETER creates, manages, and delivers industry-leading research.

This is a hybrid role based out of our New York City office, with regular in office expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the modernization of EMARKETER's forecasting data structures, workflows, and supporting systems in partnership with Forecasting, Data Products, and Product & Technology leadership.
  • Build alignment across Content, Data Products, Forecasting, and Product & Technology teams, managing competing priorities and stakeholder perspectives to keep initiatives moving forward.
  • Develop a deep understanding of forecasting methodologies, dependencies, and operational pain points, and identify opportunities to improve scalability, transparency, and efficiency.
  • Prototype solutions and concepts that can be scaled in partnership with Product & Technology, including centralized data structures, reconciliation processes, and workflow improvements.
  • Identify and lead high-impact special projects and data product initiatives that improve how research data is collected, managed, and utilized across the organization.
  • Define, track, and communicate content performance metrics, departmental goals, and organizational KPIs, providing actionable insights to Content leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Build dashboards and reporting that make content performance data accessible and actionable while informing content strategy, resource allocation, and business decisions.

  • 7+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data products, consulting, market research, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with experience developing KPIs, conducting performance analysis, and translating findings into business recommendations.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders across multiple functions and levels of an organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate between technical and business audiences and present recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Strong project management experience, with a track record of driving initiatives from concept through implementation in ambiguous environments.
  • Hands-on experience working with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies, with strong SQL proficiency.
  • Experience building dashboards and reporting solutions using tools such as Sigma, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or equivalent platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Python or a comparable language for analytics, automation, or lightweight prototyping.
  • Familiarity with APIs, structured data formats (JSON, CSV), and modern data workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, automate processes, and improve decision-making.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, analytical, technical, or related field.
  • Experience within a research, media, market intelligence, analytics-driven organization, or top-tier consulting firm is a plus.
Salary & Benefits:
  • $160,000 to $180,000 (dependent on skills, experience, and competencies)

Salary for the role is commensurate with experience and depends on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.

$160,000-$180,000 USD
