This role sits at the center of strategy and execution, enabling the CLO to operate more effectively with internal and external stakeholders. The CoS will help shape priorities, drive alignment, and ensure that critical initiatives translate into measurable outcomes. You will play a central role in ensuring that priorities translate into action and results across the organization.

This role is part of the Office of the CLO, reports directly to the CLO, and may have managerial responsibilities.

  • Ensure the CLO is well-prepared for key engagements, decisions, and stakeholder interactions
  • Support the CLO's engagement with key external stakeholders, including patient advocacy, external affairs, and board engagements
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to amplify the CLO's influence across the enterprise, including partnering with other chiefs of staff and the Office of the CEO
  • Prepare executive-level materials including board content, strategic briefings, and leadership communications

Driving Execution & Organizational Impact
  • Maintain strong engagement with the CLO Org Leadership Team to ensure leadership team members are aligned and focused on the right priorities
  • Monitor progress against key initiatives, track decisions and action items, and follow through to completion
  • Ensure clear communication and accountability across the organization, identify risks to key deliverables, surface issues early, and work to remove roadblocks or manage risks where needed
  • Continuously look for ways to simplify processes and work with the CLO to ensure the CLO LT and teams can execute on the highest-value work
  • Foster accountability and collaboration across the CLO Org Leadership Team, helping to improve outcomes

Leading Operating Rhythm & Alignment
  • Own the operating cadence for the CLO Org Leadership Team, including routine meetings and offsites
  • Develop agendas and meeting materials, capture key decisions, and ensure effective follow-up
  • Reinforce alignment around priorities, ensuring leadership focus remains on the most impactful work
  • Create visibility into progress, decisions, and trade-offs to support effective decision-making

Enabling Organizational Operations
  • Partner with the CLO, Legal Operations, and Finance to manage the department budget, including ongoing tracking and proactive adjustments as priorities evolve
  • Collaborate with the CLO's Executive Assistant to align the CLO's calendar and engagement planning with strategic priorities
  • Collaborate with the CLO's Executive Assistant to develop and execute department-wide initiatives, including town halls, summits, training programs, and engagement efforts
  • Lead development of CLO Org communications to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment across messaging
  • Drive progress on AI and technology-enabled transformation across the CLO Organization, ensuring initiatives are aligned to priorities, effectively executed, and translated into tangible business impact
  • Work with the CLO, HRBP, and leadership team to support talent strategy, including hiring, onboarding, development, organizational design, and headcount planning, while advancing DEIB priorities
