Job Description

Senior Director, Cardiology Platform Architecture & Interoperability is accountable for defining and driving the next-generation cardiology and patient monitoring platform architecture for AM&D.

This role operates as the forward-looking platform leader, responsible for building a cohesive, interoperable, and scalable technology foundation that connects ambulatory workflows end to end while enabling seamless collaboration with hospital-based environments.

This role ensures that hardware, software, data, and AI-enabled capabilities come together into a unified enterprise platform that integrates seamlessly into healthcare systems.

The scope spans healthcare informatics, EMR integration, interoperability frameworks, cloud and hybrid architectures, and enterprise-scale platform design. This role will work closely with HPM as a strategic partner to align on shared platform opportunities, while maintaining clear accountability within AM&D.

This is a multi-year, business-critical role that will materially influence platform direction, speed of innovation, and long-term competitive positioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own definition of the target architecture for a unified cardiology and patient monitoring platform within AM&D

  • Establish platform principles across interoperability, data models, device integration, and platform services

  • Lead strategy and execution for healthcare interoperability including EMR integration, HL7, FHIR, SMART, and SMART on FHIR

  • Drive adoption of industry standards including IHE frameworks, DICOM, and enterprise integration patterns

  • Define platform deployment models across cloud-native, hybrid, and on-prem hospital environments

  • Establish architectural patterns for multi-tenant SaaS, data pipelines, real-world evidence, and secure, compliant systems

  • Partner with R&D to ensure alignment to platform architecture while avoiding constraints from legacy systems

  • Collaborate with HPM to identify shared platform opportunities, reuse potential, and alignment of interoperability approaches

  • Define build, buy, and partner strategy for key platform components including cloud, interoperability, and AI capabilities

  • Engage with EMR ecosystem leaders including Epic Systems and Oracle Cerner to shape integration strategies and partnerships

  • Act as a senior technical leader influencing Product, R&D, Clinical, and Commercial stakeholders across a matrixed organization

  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business decisions and executive-level communication

Success Measures

  • Defined and adopted platform architecture within AM&D

  • Measurable reduction in product and system fragmentation

  • Improved speed and reliability of EMR and enterprise integrations

  • Acceleration of platform-based product development and reuse

  • Effective collaboration with HPM resulting in aligned platform opportunities without organizational dependency

  • Clear roadmap and execution of next-generation platform initiatives

Minimum required Education:

  • Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Innovation, Business or equivalent.


Minimum required Experience:

  • Minimum 11 years of experience with Bachelor's OR Minimum 9 years of experience with Master's in areas such as Manufacturing, Production, Engineering, Management, System Design, R&D or equivalent.

  • Experience defining and scaling enterprise healthcare platforms or informatics systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cardiology workflows, cardiac monitoring, or diagnostic data platforms

  • Experience bridging ambulatory and hospital-based care environments

  • Familiarity with AI-enabled healthcare platforms and data ecosystems

  • Prior experience in organizations such as GE, Philips, or similar healthcare technology leaders

  • Experience defining platform strategies across hardware, software, and data systems

  • Deep expertise in EMR integration and interoperability including HL7, FHIR, SMART, and SMART on FHIR

  • Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability frameworks including IHE and DICOM

  • Experience with cloud-native, hybrid, and on-premise healthcare deployments

  • Demonstrated ability to influence large, complex, matrixed organizations without direct authority

  • Strong executive communication skills with ability to translate technical depth into business impact

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company27s facilities. The pay range for this position in Malvern, PA is 212,000-337,000 USD Annual
The pay range for this position in Cambridge, MA is 226,000.00 - 360,000.00 USD Annual

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
