We are looking for our future Senior Director, Business Development - Provider to join our Business Development team.

Job Description Summary

Leading a broad set of critical initiatives for Resmed, the Business Development team is responsible for supporting the corporate strategy through partnerships and other growth initiatives.

This role will hold critical responsibilities to lead multiple key programs. We need a leader with a broad set of capabilities to assist our efforts in further penetrating existing and new market spaces, analyzing opportunities to leverage our platforms and core competencies, and executing on key strategic partnership opportunities. A successful candidate will possess vision, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate and align customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. This individual will also bring the ability to execute and manage initiatives in an ever-changing environment. As a self-starter with knowledge of this domain, you will drive both strategy and execution for this critical area.

  • Continue to build and execute the Provider partnership strategy aligned to business priorities and long-term growth objectives.
  • Identify strategic opportunities across digital health, AI/data, channel partners, and care-delivery innovation.
  • Conduct market scans and partner assessments to prioritize opportunities, including investment and acquisition opportunities.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to assess build, buy, and partner opportunities.
  • Lead sourcing, evaluation, structuring, and negotiation of complex, multi-market partnerships.
  • Establish governance frameworks and ongoing performance management for key partnerships.
  • Ensure contractual and operational alignment with Legal, Regulatory, data governance, and commercial policies.
  • Work closely with Commercial, Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Regulatory, Corporate Strategy, and Operations teams.
  • Build alignment on partnership value, required trade-offs, and execution pathways.
  • Influence senior stakeholders with clear insights, data, and strategic recommendations.
  • Define measurable KPIs, value metrics, and dashboards for partnership performance.
  • Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and operational challenges.
  • Improve partnership frameworks, playbooks, and commercial models across the region.

  • Extensive experience (at least 10 years) in strategic business development, commercial strategy, strategic partnerships, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success negotiating and implementing complex partnerships.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to assess partnership opportunities in the context of broader business strategy, commercial priorities, and long-term value creation.
  • Experience working in Provider healthcare, medtech, and/or digital health.
  • Deep understanding of Provider healthcare systems, reimbursement environments, regulatory trends, digital health ecosystems, and competitive dynamics.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify emerging market trends and translate insight into partnership strategy, business cases, and execution plans.
  • Strong understanding of digital health platforms, data capabilities, clinical value propositions, and integration pathways relevant to partnership development.
  • Strong executive presence, adaptive communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across functions, cultures, and levels of seniority.
  • High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and a calm, solutions-focused approach in complex or high-stakes environments.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Preferred:
  • Experience with digital health, software ecosystems, AI/data partnerships, and healthcare delivery models.
  • Background collaborating with provider organizations, hospital systems, national healthcare bodies, and payers.
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree.

A reasonable estimate of the current base range for this position is: $ 217,000.00 - $325,000.00 USD
