Salary Range: $140,000 - $182,700

Position Overview:

The Senior Director, Agile Delivery is a senior practitioner and organizational leader responsible for scaling and standardizing agile delivery practices across Vibrant's Tech division. This role serves as the connective tissue between product, engineering, and data teams-ensuring that cross-functional pods operate with clarity, cadence, and continuous improvement. The Director will establish and sustain delivery infrastructure (ceremonies, tooling, metrics, coaching) that enables Vibrant's Tech organization to execute reliably against program commitments.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Design and steward a Tech-wide agile operating model that works across Engineering, Product, Data, and Enterprise IT pods; establish consistent sprint rhythms, definition-of-done standards, backlog hygiene practices, and release planning cadences.
  • Strategically design the organization's approach to Agile, scaling methodologies across departments to align org-wide goals with execution.
  • Adapt agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe elements) to fit Vibrant's hybrid program/product context, including grant-funded deliverable timelines with external reporting obligations.
  • Partner with pod leads and VPs to track delivery velocity, surface blockers, and facilitate impediment resolution across TECH's program portfolio.
  • Own cross-pod dependency management and integrated release planning; maintain a rolling TECH delivery roadmap updated on a regular cadence.
  • Build and maintain delivery dashboards (Jira, Confluence, or equivalent) providing real-time visibility to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Manage budget for multiple agile teams, monitoring actual spend against budgeted forecast.
  • Coach and mentor embedded scrum masters, product owners, and technical leads on agile principles and practices; design and facilitate agile training programs and communities of practice across Tech.
  • Serve as the primary liaison on delivery governance questions from the CTO office, program leadership and external partners.
  • Translate delivery metrics into executive-ready narratives; present delivery status, risk, and trend data at departmental meetings, executive check-ins and board touchpoints as needed.
  • Champion a culture of psychological safety, retrospection, and iterative improvement across all Tech pods.
  • Lead complex, cross-domain delivery engagements and establish delivery patterns that can be repeated across future programs and grant cycles.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Deep hands-on fluency with Scrum and Kanban; demonstrated success adapting agile frameworks to distributed, mission-driven, or grant-funded environments.
  • Strong executive communication skills; comfortable presenting delivery risk, velocity, and status to C-suite and board audiences in plain language.
  • Proficiency with delivery tooling such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, or equivalent; experience building delivery dashboards and KPI frameworks for cross-functional organizations.
  • Demonstrated success leading delivery transformation across multi-team or multi-program organizations, including navigating organizational change.
  • Ability to work fully independently and lead delivery teams with a high degree of accountability for output quality.
  • Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills; experience coaching teams across power and role differences.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in agile delivery, program management, or related roles; 5+ years in a leadership or coaching capacity.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or equivalent practitioner certification preferred.
  • Experience in nonprofit, public sector, health tech, or crisis services contexts strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with federal grant reporting environments preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Will constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Will frequently communicate over video calls with internal and external stakeholders to provide status updates and potential roadblocks.

We determine base pay through a comprehensive review of skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and other relevant factors. The range listed reflects the compensation parameters for the role and does not represent the full compensation package. A complete overview of compensation and benefits will be provided by the Talent Acquisition team during the hiring process.

Full time employees will be eligible for excellent comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, supplemental income insurance, employer paid disability insurance, employer paid life insurance, pre-tax FSA for medical and dependent care, and 401K available.

Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they are able to perform every task in the job description. We are most interested in finding the best candidate for the job, and that candidate may be one who comes from a less traditional background. Vibrant will consider any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, education and experience to meet minimum qualifications. If you are interested in applying, we encourage you to think broadly about your background and skill set for the role.
