Job Description:

Dependency Management is an enterprise-wide process to request, develop, and control dealer asks of Caterpillar to achieve agreed upon growth goals. The Product Owner will help define the vision and roadmap for the system that enables and reports on these dependencies.

What You Will Do:
  • Help shape the vision for how the system and surrounding metrics support the dependency process
  • Collaborate between business partners and development team to identify and translate clear development requests
  • Prioritize and manage development backlog
  • Analyze and interpret data surrounding dependency process
  • User access management
  • Document, communicate, and train users on system


What You Will Have:
  • Effective Communication: Extensive understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively convey complex concepts to a range of different stakeholder types.
  • Business Analysis: Working knowledge in identifying business needs, and bring data-driven mindset to quantify and prioritize; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.
  • Software Product Business Knowledge: Knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.
  • Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.


Top Candidates Will Also Have:
  • Enterprise Perspective - experience with and understanding multiple areas of the business including their strategy, goals, and operations.
  • Data Visualization - experience with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Intellectual Curiosity - desire to learn, explore, and understand business and enterprise processes while demonstrating critical thinking skills.
  • Ownership - demonstration of accountability, initiative, and autonomy towards project outcomes.

  • Location: Peoria, IL or Irving, TX
  • Travel: 10%


Summary Pay Range:

$112,710.00 - $183,140.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
