Full Job Description
Job Summary & Responsibilities

  • This individual will apply their skills in basic image processing, mathematics, optics, and software engineering to develop solution to be integrated into Onto's innovative inspection platforms.
  • Participate in New Product Development (NPD) activities by collaborating in a team setting with hardware engineers, application engineers, Technical Project Managers and Program/Product Managers.
  • Develop production level code and maintain software applications that integrate with complex semiconductor handling systems.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software to ensure high-quality and reliable operation.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of new features and functionalities.
  • Perform requirement analysis and capture, develop detailed SW designs, code and associated test plans.
  • Perform design/code reviews for all deliverables, collaborating with the systems engineers, software developers, and other technical staff
  • Optimize software performance and ensure scalability.
  • Mentor junior engineers within the team
  • Document software designs, processes, and troubleshooting steps.


Qualifications
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science
  • 5+ years professional software development experience using C# and .Net.
  • 3+ years professional experience in GUI design and C# WPF implementation
  • Experience with image processing or machine vision
  • Proficiency in creating robust and scalable software systems, including creating efficient APIs
  • Proficiency in modern programming methods with emphasis on object-oriented programming
  • Proficiency in developing and debugging multi-threaded and distributed applications
  • Strong knowledge of hardware-software integration and experience working with complex systems.
  • Excellent communication/collaboration skills; including in English
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously exhibiting strong self-motivation and initiative. Capable of independently acquiring knowledge and mastering new skills through on-the-job training (OJT) and self-directed learning
  • Experience with Azure DevOps a plus
  • Knowledge of managed/unmanaged C++ a plus
  • Electromechanical systems, including motion control, SEMI capital equipment a plus


Compensation & Growth
• Base Salary Range:
$115,200.00 - $172,800.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.
