Full Job Description
Contract: United States Coast Guard

Work Location: Remote U.S. Based

Reporting Hours: Eastern Business Hours

Clearance: N/A, but DHS Suitability preferred

Travel: None

Geocgi is looking for a Senior Developer to support our client, the US Coast Guard Bridges Office. The candidate will serve as the lead developer on a small, collaborative development team. This position is a remote opportunity working core hours on Eastern Standard Time. Previous remote work experience required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop public-facing front-end web applications to support the USCG Bridge Permitting workflow
  • Collaborate across development teams, including government personnel and subcontractors
  • Assist with the development production pipeline, including resolving merge conflicts, running code refreshes, updating documentation, providing internal testing and QC
  • Work in a highly communicative, geographically dispersed small team
  • Communicate effectively about complex technological concepts with non-technical SMEs, including government stakeholders and end-users
  • Provide technical insights and recommendations to stakeholders and team members
  • Occasionally participate in broader documentation or business development efforts, i.e., providing technical insight for proposals

The following are requirements of the Senior Developer:
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • 7 years of cumulative development experience with a Bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or 5 years of experience with a Master's degree.
  • 5+ years of experience with JavaScript development
  • 4+ years of Angular/Typescript
  • 6+ years of client-facing development
  • Some familiarity with Esri development/Esri APIs
  • 5+ years of collaborative agile development pipeline experience

The following are preferred of the Senior Developer:
  • CompTIA Security+
  • DHS Suitability
  • DoD Clearance
  • Technical mentorship experience


The annual base salary range for this position is anticipated to be $120,000-$130,000 USD. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position.
