YourROLEon Our Team:

TheSeniorDesigneris responsible fortransformingthetechnicalrequirements intofunctional designsandprecise 3DCADmodels, integrating industrial design concepts, creating detaileddrawingsand product documentation. This role involves supporting engineerswith generating potentialdesignsolutions for technical challenges,mechanismanalysis, as well as evaluating prototypes and competitive tools tohelpguidedesign decisions. TheSeniorDesigneralso mentors new designers, guides engineers onCADbest practices, and communicates effectively withthe teamto ensure manufacturability and design efficiency.

Youllbe DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

  • Highly capable of taking design requirements andcreating3D models and functional designs

  • Design componentsfor processessuch as die casting, plasticinjection molding, powdered metal, MIM,sheet metal stamping and screw machine

  • Highly efficient inincorporatingIndustrial Design concepts intoCAD models,includingcomplex surfacing

  • Createdrawings, product BOMs and change notices for release and/or change distribution

  • Support Engineers in analysis, research, and solutionsforcomplextechnicalchallenges

  • Activelyparticipatein project team meetingsandhelp todrive cross functional decisions

  • Evaluateand analyze prototype and competitive tools tohelpthe engineers make informed decisions on design direction

  • Supporttolerance stack-upanalysisforassemblies of varying complexity

  • Proficientwith Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD26T) and able to apply to designsin a practical manner

  • Supportthegatheringand analysis of information and test datathat willbe used tohelp drivedecisionspertaining tothe design ofassembliesand components

  • Ability to balance multiple complex projects and special assignments within typical workload

  • Proficientatcommunicating withteam member regarding,part design, manufacturability, and requirements

  • Provide guidanceon CADto engineers and mentornew Designers

  • Builds and influencesorganizationalCADstandardsand best practices

  • Performs other duties as assigned

The TOOLSyoullbring with you:

  • Requires a technicalAssociate Degree

  • Minimum of7years ofexperience in designing, drafting and computer modeling and related technical assignments

  • Utilize mechanical design skills and ability to develop creative design solutions

  • Siemens NX or similar 3D CAD software experience

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communicationskills

OtherTOOLSwe prefer you to have:

  • Prior experience with the methods and materials used to manufacture tools

  • Strong mechanical design skills and ability to develop creative design solutions

Workingconditions:

Office Environment

  • Primarily workingin anindooroffice environment

  • May sit for several hours at a time
