In this role, you’ll translate business and marketing objectives into compelling visual concepts, stories, and design solutions across digital, print, video, presentations, and other channels.

As a senior member of the creative team, you’ll bring strong conceptual, visual, and executional design expertise to complex projects; from developing the initial creative concept and visual direction through final execution. You’ll collaborate closely with Marketing, Brand, Content, and business stakeholders, bring a strong creative point of view to the work, and help elevate the capabilities and quality of the broader design team.

This is a hands-on role for a designer who can move comfortably between big-picture thinking and detailed execution; someone who can take an ambiguous business challenge, find the story within it, and turn that story into clear, compelling creative typically in close collaboration with in-house team of writers, designer, and other partners.

At C.H. Robinson, we’re firm believers in the power of in-person collaboration to fuel innovation and propel success. In this role, you will engage with peers on-site two days a week (Tuesday/Wednesday), igniting creativity and driving impactful results. With the flexibility for remote work three days a week, this role strikes the perfect balance between teamwork and autonomy.

Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Translate marketing strategies and stakeholder goals into innovative visual concepts, campaign themes, and final creative assets across digital, print, video, and other platforms
  • Create and evolve campaign design systems, applying established brand and style guidelines while developing new creative approaches for product launches and marketing initiatives
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on design best practices, creative trends, and tools, bringing expertise and fresh thinking to complex projects
  • Partner closely with Marketing and key stakeholders to understand business objectives, influence visual direction, and deliver creative solutions that achieve campaign goals
  • Provide constructive design feedback and guidance to junior team members, helping strengthen creative capabilities and the overall quality of the team’s work
  • Manage creative work across multiple deliverables and stakeholders, balancing priorities, timelines, and brand consistency from concept through final execution
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve creative processes, approaches, and output across the team
  • Support agency collaboration and broader team priorities on projects as needed

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, and/or Marketing
  • Minimum 2 years of experience creating marketing campaigns across multiple deliverables (e.g., paid ads, websites, print, video, etc.) using design software

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere Pro, with the ability to quickly adopt new creative technologies, tools, and workflows
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, visual design craft, campaign development, and the ability to translate strategy into compelling creative work across multiple channels
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and deliver high-quality work within established timelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to clearly articulate creative concepts, design rationale, and recommendations to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex information and develop clear, compelling visual solutions
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, collaborate across a large and geographically dispersed organization, and build alignment around creative solutions
  • Comfort working through ambiguity and complexity, with the ability to turn diverse inputs and complex business challenges into clear, focused creative solutions
  • Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
