Full Job Description
Senior Designer

Centric Brands is seeking a creative, highly organized Senior Designer for Adult Women's and Men's, Tween and Family Character Licensed Sleepwear. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for fashion and emerging trends, excellent taste level, and the ability to translate iconic characters and entertainment properties into fresh, relevant sleepwear.

Specific Responsibilities Would Include

The Senior Designer manages the seasonal design development process, from concept to delivery, by creating and executing original, trend-appropriate design concepts that meet market needs and drive sales, and coordinating the timely execution of each stage in the process.

Roles & Responsibilites
  • Research seasonal fashion, lifestyle, color, print and sleepwear trends and translate them into relevant licensed product.
  • Develop seasonal concepts, mood boards, color palettes, silhouettes, prints, graphics and sleepwear assortments.
  • Create detailed Illustrator CADs and presentations quickly and accurately.
  • Interpret licensed character artwork in fresh, trend-right ways for the Adult Women's, Men's and Tween customer.
  • Own the design and development process from initial concept through final product while meeting calendar deadlines.
  • Partner with Art, Merchandising, Sales and Licensing to create compelling product and presentations for key retail partners.
  • Collaborate with Technical Design, Production and overseas Design teams throughout development and fit.
  • Identify competitive trends, key items and whitespace opportunities to help drive innovation and business growth.
  • Mentor and provide direction to junior team members as needed.

Skills & Requirements
  • 5-8+ years of apparel design experience in sleepwear and/or licensed apparel or Adult Women's/Men's/Tween experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
  • Exceptional Adobe Illustrator skills with strong speed and accuracy.
  • Strong fashion, trend, color, print and graphic sensibility with an elevated taste level.
  • Knowledge of garment construction, fit, fabrication, trims and print techniques.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and self-disciplined with strong follow-through.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, positive approach.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and PLM systems.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design.
  • 5 - 8 years experience in apparel design; significant relevant experience in category
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, CAD and Mac computers

Salary Range: $85,000 - $103,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
